January 14, 201412 yr Hi all! i'm new on AVSIM,I recently purchased the 3D Lights Redux, I tried testing it first in the 50N B737-300 but I encounter a slight problem .. I can´t see the runway or taxiway by the bright lights! anyone know how to fix that? here is a image. http://www.flickr.com/photos/96991343@N03/11943386924/ I hope you can help me! thanks
January 14, 201412 yr I've seen those lights in REX. You have an option to choose the normal golden lights variant or the 'intense' variant which produces a similar effect as yours. You might want to check on that if you are using REX. If not, as Tony suggested, A2A forum would be the fastest way to get support.
January 14, 201412 yr Author I also remember seeing them but am using REX4 and saw options for types of landing lights, only for airports, the strange thing is that, in testing the REDUX B737 default, the texture looks normal, not like the previous B733, which also noticed is when, upon turning on the landing lights, regular lights, but 3 seconds after the light is plugged. I'm thinking that the lights which can cause this defect are the 2 lights that are on the sides of the flaps of the B733 http://www.flickr.com/photos/96991343@N03/11950235754/ ((B737 Default with Redux)) http://www.flickr.com/photos/96991343@N03/11950628796/ ((B733 After 1 second to turn on the Landing Lights)) http://www.flickr.com/photos/96991343@N03/11950626596/ ((2 lights in the sides of the flaps))
January 15, 201412 yr 3D Lights don't "paint" the ground so it looks like you have something else set-up somewhere. Do you have a previous version of REX installed or some other app that messed around with your aircraft's taxi/landing lights? I don't have the 50N but I've seen that happen before and I needed to update the landing lights in REX OD and everything looked fine again. M
January 15, 201412 yr Author No sir, I have only the REX 4 .. I realize that only 50N does that effect on the track, I tried the Wilco 737, the runaway looks normal!
January 15, 201412 yr OK, so I pulled this from the A2A support forums. You say you purchased 3D Lights but did you find the lights section in the aircraft.cfg and add the following? "[LIGHTS]" //Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing light.0 = 3, -18.011664, -47.3237064, 3.215184, fx_shockwave_navred , light.1 = 3, -18.011664, 47.3237064, 3.215184, fx_shockwave_navgre , light.2 = 2, -58.4081656, 0.00, 7.4506968, Fx_shockwave_strobe_l_nl , light.3 = 2, -17.3193432, -47.3695088, 3.1954992, Fx_shockwave_strobe_l_nl , light.4 = 2, -17.3193432, 47.3695088, 3.1954992, Fx_shockwave_strobe_l_nl , light.5 = 1, 7.00, 0.00, -4.10, fx_beaconb , light.6 = 1, 4.1, 0.00, 9.9, fx_beaconh , light.7 = 3, -22.20, -46.97,3.175, fx_shockwave_navwhi_nl light.8 = 3, -22.20, 46.97,3.175, fx_shockwave_navwhi_nl light.9 =3, -58.4081656, 0.00, 7.4506968, fx_shockwave_navwhi_nl light.11 = 5, 7.50, -7.50, 0.00, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow // Shockwave light light.12 = 5, 7.50, 7.50, 0.00, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow // Shockwave light light.13 = 6, 35.00, 0.00, -5.50, fx_shockwave_landing_light_low // Shockwave light Also, to see the effect you need to add the following to your panel.cfg file. Please note, if you're panel.cfg alias' to another panel, you need to add this to the aliased panel. What I mean is if your 50N panel is aliased to the stock B737-800 then you would need to open the stock 737-800 panel.cfg. DO NOT add this if your panel.cfg only has "alias=B737_800\panel" in it. PANEL.CFG Add the following line at the bottom of the [VCockpit01] section changing 'XX' to the next available number gaugeXX=shockwave_lights!SW Lights, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light Confirm or try this and let us know if you still see those God awful golden rays. M
January 15, 201412 yr Author I did, and still appear even such lights. I forgot to mention that this is a 50N VC merge Wilco  So I found it strange that in the Wilco work well
January 16, 201412 yr Hmmm..OK, I don't have the 50N package so I'm just throwing out an idea here. Try going into your FSX\effects folder and look for something like 50N_landing.fx or something similar to that file name. Try renaming it with an extension of .OLD then try your aircraft and see what happens.
