January 15, 201412 yr I have a few addon sceneries i've downloaded which cause and error message to pop up while loading that scenery or in an area near to it. It says something like it telling me the scenery may not look correct. I click "I understand" and the scenery continues to load. In most cases, I can not see any thing wrong with how it looks and if there is, Im fine with it since I can't tell whats wrong, if there really is something wrong. Is there a way to disable this message without having to remove the offending scenery? I t gets annoying when loading up a flight in some areas. Rob.
January 15, 201412 yr Rob, make sure you get all of the libraries. Ate SimHeaven there are a few linked here: http://simheaven.com/?page_id=14 Most sceneries also ask for the ruscenery library: http://ruscenery.x-air.ru/ ( get the ZIP, not the Win installer ) Then, "unzip" it to your "Custom Scenery" folder and in "scenery_packs.ini" make sure you place them somewhere between you OSM sceneries and the Mesh, like in this excerpt from my own file: [...] SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Osm_Australia-Oceania/SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Osm_Central-America/SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Osm_South-America/SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Europe_Library/SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/R2_Library/SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/ruscenery/SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/ff_library_extended_LOD/SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Vehicle Library Extension/SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Wide Taxiway Markings Library Replacement/SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/z+38-010_P_Lissabon_bx17/SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/z+41+002_ESP_Barcelona_gc17/SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/z+40-004_ESP_Madrid_gc17/SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/z+48+002_FRA_Paris_bc17/ [...] Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
January 15, 201412 yr Having all the various libraries is, of course, a must, but I've run into this prompt most often when a scenery author includes an object in a custom library that doesn't exist within the package. Check the .log and you'll find the offending objects and can then remove them in WED or OE. That said, if you go to Settings > Operations & Warnings and deselect the box that reads "warn of incomplete scenery installations" you should rid yourself of the annoying pop-ups.
