Carenado V35B Specs

Featured Replies

I am having issues with the FSX version of the V35B. The flight dynamics are way off compared to real world (I fly a '67 V35) and also compared to the FS9 version. Here are the numbers that I am seeing when flying the FS9 vs FSX versions:

FS9
10 gph max (regardless of mixture)
0 C OAT
138 knots IAS
12000'
0 wind
165 knot GS

FSX
9.1 gph max (regardless of mixture)
0 C OAT
115 knots IAS
12000'
6 knot tailwind
154 knot GS

The FS9 version is close to spot in with the real world V35.  The only exception being that I can enrichen the mixture and burn up to 15+ gph.

Curious what others were getting with the FSX version of this plane.

Did you install the V35 optional patch?

It improves the flight model.

The FS9 version was issued later, so it may include this change..

BTW, if you really like flying this plane, I find that adding RXP gauges

transforms the look and feel of the panel..  highly recommended.

I am pretty sure that I added the patch but will check when I get home.

I have added the GNS530 as a pop-up and that is it.  I am not the best at updating panels or I would try to install the 530 into my plane.  Without having the plane in front of me now, what have you changed on your panel.  Do I see a GNS430 upgrade?

Thanks for your help with my RealityXP question on the other forums.  Hopefully it works for awhile.  I like flying this plane as it's as close as I can get to the plane that I fly real world.

Here is a picture of the panel that I fly now (minus the Collins Comm2)

The patch was installed but my repaint that I had pointed to the original .air file.  I changed that an I am now getting similar performance with the real thing.

Thanks,

John

The patch is awesome, long time bump but well deserved, i only tweaked on the engine to match the IO-550B and it dusts most of all singles in performance.

I flew the '80s and '90s V35Bs. What a fantastic airplane! Even with the "V" Tail, she didn't really need the yaw damp often. Miss the Bonanza.....a lot!

The Carenado model V35B is very accurate in performance compared with the real V35, especially after the V35 optional patch.

Cheers,
