January 24, 201412 yr Hi, I have flickering runways with 35R, 35L and 36L of taxi2gate Orlando in external view. Only 36L is working without flickering in DX10 mode. I have no flickering if I switch in DX9 mode. Is it possible to fix that ? Windows 11 | i7-14700KF | DDR5-64Go | RTX-4070 Super | 1440p 32" curved screen | G903
January 24, 201412 yr Commercial Member Curiously I asked about this airport below but in the context of night flying. Looking at it in TMF Viewer the airport straddles a tile boundary. So 36L is in one scenery tile and the other runways in a different tile. The tile boundary runs N/S between the two 36 runways. The DX10 master bug means that when a transparent texture is used in both tiles it will only work properly in one tile - in this case the runway surface works for 36L but not the others. There are two solutions - they use a different texture for 36L (it can be a copy) or we try a patch - the problem with patches is the risk they break something else and I don't in this case have the airport to work with. As a quick test if there is a bgl called runway36L you could try removing it temporarily, rebuilding the scenery index and see if the other runways then stop flickering. My FSX Analysis Blog
January 24, 201412 yr Author Thank you. I have found a way to solve my problem, by deleting these 4 dds files: And I increase a lot my frame rate. Now, ground seems a little bit darker : To modify the textures (asphalt/concret) with AFX is ineffective.
