January 29, 201412 yr I recently started experimenting with Linda and I encountered some problems in key affectation. Some combination of keys are not recognized. For instance I use a lot combination like CTRL-SHIFT-R, CTRL-SHIFT-5, CTRL-SHIFT-3 and CTRL-SHIFT-4 to select different views in EZCA. None of those 3 keys combination seems to work in Linda even if EZCA react correctly to them through direct keyboard input or if I use a button on my CH Yoke via FSUIPC button programming facilities to generate the CTRL SHIFT combinations. I read somewhere in a forum thread that Linda can be tricky with complex shifted keys (Alt, Ctrl, Shift combination) assignment. Is somebody can confirm if this is the case or if there is a workaround? January 29, 201412 yr EZDok allows you to assign views directly to your joystick buttons, you shouldn't need Linda, but you are correct Linda is not very good at sending key presses unfortunately. Cheers, Andy.
January 29, 201412 yr Author Thanks Andydigital, I used FSUIPC button functionality instead of direct EZCA button assignment because i doubled all my yoke button through a conditional button. Something very similar to the "shifted" command we can assign to each button in Linda. Finally I tested this morning an hybrid with a couple of complex keystrokes programmed using the old methods and all the simple keystroke in Linda. this works well .... I gain nothing up to now compared of what I was achieving with FSUIPC but i want to explore further what is Lua and what kind of additional functionality I can implement through this. I already like lot the Linda console and tracer functionality that help to understand which button in a VC does what and which ones are animated but produce nothing in the simulator..
