January 31, 201412 yr Hello all, I’ve been looking for a solution to the issue I am having with the 737 ngx during takeoff. It is annoying I have to apply constant (and I think Extreme) pressure to the yoke to try to keep the ac on the centerline during takeoff. If I let go during takeoff, it veers wildly to the left- not as much as a one-engine takeoff, but if it were real world, I'd have quite a few upset passengers. The engines seem to be in sync, no variance in N1 or N2. This occurs every time in any wind condition including calm, and I'm not seeing any failures active (although I used to see a lot of brake overheat, but not with this installation) whenever I do a fresh install, you can shove the throttles to the firewall and it tracks perfectly down the centerline. Seems like this develops over time- Could there be a maintenance item I am missing? Any ideas? Thanks Joe Connolly KSTL Joe Connolly

January 31, 201412 yr You have a CONFLICT with your settings on the Throttle Quadrant....................check your settings and see if any other leavers or yoke settings or buttons are using the same axes...... or look in TOPICS throttle problems.......you might find the answer there............. January 31, 201412 yr Commercial Member Yep, sounds like something is interfering with your rudder axis Rob Prest
January 31, 201412 yr Had the same problem. In the end I had to purchase a new joystick. I tried to adjust different settings etc, nothing I changed in the settings would work . I guess it was a fault with the joystick that perhaps it simply worn out. I purchased the Black Widow joystick with rudder control and thrust lever ( combined in one ) . All my take offs now follow the runway centre line with a little bit of rudder input when flying with Active Sky Next to correct for wind. February 5, 201412 yr Author Well, Yes, - I have to twist the joystick which would control the rudder pedals. So I didn't really mean yoke... But anyway, I'll see what happens if I disconnect the joystick and use the keyboard. I'll post back. Thanks for the input... Joe Connolly KSTL Joe Connolly
February 7, 201412 yr I'd recalibrate the stick and see what happens. Sounds like it's off a bit. Mark Keith
February 17, 201412 yr Author So what seemed to help... I went into FSX settings / controls and reset all the sensitivity and null zone defaults. Then I did the calibration. Funny I never did seem to have this particular issue with the Wilco Airbus fleet, just the PMDG 737 NGX. Just an observation- Wilco doesn't even come close in any way to the NGX...:-) Joe Connolly KSTL Joe Connolly
March 29, 201412 yr Author So I'm back to having all different aircraft wanting to go sideways on t/o roll, and also as soon as it leaves the runway I have to wrestle to keep it straight or hurry and engage the ap on rwy heading. I did purchase a new stick/throttle combo and it still does it. It's like a car with the front end being out of alignment. Rudder trim??? Joe Connolly
March 29, 201412 yr Commercial Member Rudder trim checks should be part of your preflight - even in the sim world. Doubt trim it is an issue in your case. What does your windows calibration menu tell you? Is your new hardware displaying any spikes or bias to the left or right? My off road jeep does the same, if I let go it wants to steer to the right!
