AMD Catalyst 14.1 beta released today

Featured Replies

Correction, was released yesterday

AMD ATI  released the 14.1 beta driver, I'm using without problems in P3D V2.

Promises great advantages for newer cards, but does not mention FSX and P3D only other games.

My ATI card is a HD6950.

Dumont, you\re using it without problems - but are you seeing any improvement on anything in particular?

I did not notice changes for better or worse, I noticed different is the support AMD Overdrive, AMD says that the subsequent cards to HD6xxx series, especially the last model, the changes will take benefits of this driver.

The interface is more intuitive AMD Overdrive.

AMD Catalyst 14.2 Beta v1.3 released today... I will try. It was nice if there was an improvement in FSX, but just believe in P3D, FSX is too old.

As long as FSX stays working with the new drivers, it be fine.

Cant remember with which, but one of the drivers gave me a black screen after switching. Sounds and all where there. just screen that was black.

And yeah, maybe FSX is old, but it is still commonly used combined with FS 9, since many people invested huge amounts of money on Aircraft/Scenery etc which are not working in P3D so wont make the step to the new flightsim.
