February 6, 201412 yr Hi, I would just like to ask if there is a fix for the badly shimmerig runway lines? I'm using DX10 fixer with AA set to 8CSAA in the fixer and 4 x SGAA in NI, the hole sim is basicly shimmer free and extremely sharp except for the runway lines, if anyone has an idea that would be great. Cheers Rod.
February 7, 201412 yr Yes, there is a fix. See page 9 of the AVSIM FSX Configuration Guide. If you set 4x's Sparse Grid Supersampling, for AA, Transparency Supersampling, it will eliminate 99.9% of the Shimmering. It's a known fps killer though so be careful. Cheers Rod. Try keeping your 4xSG(Transparency)AA but increase your AA in the fixer to 16CSAA. gb. YSSY. February 7, 201412 yr Author Thanks for the replies, I raised the fixer AA to 16CSAA and for sure is a lot better but it's introduced a bit of stuttering with NI AA left at 4SGAA so I'll drop it down to 2SGAA in NI and see how we go, thanks again. Cheers Rod.
