Resizing AI Traffic

Featured Replies

Dear all,

I use FS9 together with Justflight Traffic 2005 and the Commuter TrafficPluspak, unfortunately i get lot`s of stutters in spot view, when panning around the plane..Is there a way to resize the AI planes, so that the stuttering will be minimised?

I am a noob on this area so please elaborate as much as you can..

Thanks..

Other than converting the textures to DXT format (which they probably are already) and reducing the size of the textures (which will make them blurrier), there isn't a lot you can do AFAIK, other than reducing your Traffic slider to reduce the number of airplanes flying (assuming their flight plans take advantage of that).

Have you switched the AI traffic off completely to make sure your stutters are actually related to the AI? In addition to what Tom has shared, have you also checked your Ai textures to make sure you have no missing alpha channels in their bit maps? Missing alpha layers in bit maps that are supposed to have them can cause performance problems. Actually that is something that should be checked regarding all textures in FS9 as per the pinned topic above "A Huge FPS Increase", please have a look at that topic, it may be of some help.

Regards,

Mel
