October 12, 201411 yr BlueLemon I have the same problem... What did you do? I am loosing power at fl320 and my config allows me to fly to FL360. A Flex temp calc (Utopia) found me the temp 29 degrees. And I made a reduced TO. Now the EGT has been whining all the way up to this FL. And I am loosing power and going into stall. July 10, 201510 yr SOLVED Please, man, tell us how did you solve your problem with hi EGT. It was your question and your solution, but, please, share it))) Many thanx! Why fly? Simple. I'm not happy unless there's some room between me and the ground. -Richard Bach, "A Gift of Wings" 1974
August 14, 201510 yr There is a one variant - just enter a value "60" in the FLAX TEMP field in a FMGS take off page) Why fly? Simple. I'm not happy unless there's some room between me and the ground. -Richard Bach, "A Gift of Wings" 1974
August 18, 201510 yr Please, man, tell us how did you solve your problem with hi EGT. It was your question and your solution, but, please, share it))) Many thanx! I don't know how Blue Lemon solved his problem. However a high EGT is usually caused by a high OAT. Whatever source you are using for weather might be providing a false OAT. Several years ago FSX would receive false information from Active Sky X and Active Sky Evolution for OAT at around the ROLUM and TINDI waypoints located over the southern part of the North Sea. OAT would go from -8C to +22C and the EGT would go thru the roof and the MD-11F would start to lose power. I had no choice but to descend until OAT returned to normal. I reported this to HiFi Tech support and they eventually corrected it. So the next time you have a high EGT check your OAT. It could be high also. I have had no problem with AS2012 and ASN. There is a one variant - just enter a value "60" in the FLAX TEMP field in a FMGS take off page) This post makes no sense. FLEX TEMP has nothing to do with high EGT. FLEX TEMP is a takeoff setting. Or were you writing about another subject. Michael Cubine
