February 20, 201412 yr Do they work together??? I have Flight Environment X but today I bought Active Sky Next. I have uninstalled FEX but this has water features which I wouldn't mind keeping. Is there a way round this or can they both run together with the emphasis on Active Sky Next clouds/weather. Thanks Rick
February 20, 201412 yr FEX isn't actually running unless you are installing new textures. We are talking about the old FEX from Flight1 are we not? It installs textures and then is closed until you want to install a different texture set. I am using the Flight1 FEX and ASN with no conflicts at all. ASN does not generate textures, the clouds (density etc) are a result of the wx reported to ASN, not ASN generating textures. February 20, 201412 yr Author Hi Woodhick Yes, I have the boxed version of Flight Environment X (says on the back copyright 2010). So are you saying I can re-install it with my ASN already installed? Thanks Rick
February 20, 201412 yr Yes, exactly :-) FEX only changes textures and nothing else. ASN changes the weather you see and nothing else. Re-install FEX, choose the textures you desire and save as instructed and close FEX. Open ASN when you fly and get the wx you desire. Do not open FEX while flying. Exactly, as woodhick states, and I've used ASN with FEX textures for a terrific result. Wayne KlocknerUnited Virtual
