January 24, 200521 yr >Just another kid who gets paid 8 bucks an hour to test and he>thinks he knows it allThanks!!! I may have been born just after the end of WWII, but I appreciate being called a "kid". Makes me feel GREAT!!!! :DL.Adamson
January 26, 200521 yr >>>>Well, you REALLY showed your ignorance there! ladamson is not>a kid, and I'm guessing that he could probably "buy you and>sell you."First of all "buy an sell you" sounds like it comes from a slave owner in the 1600 or 1700s.And secondly, I really don't care how old he is, what I see is his childish behavior, and the childish behavior of all these kids or retired belligerent people who go around the forums bashing anybody who asks certain questions all because they are upset with their lives.>>Maybe people were confused by these statements of yours:>>"Microsoft claims "as real as it gets">>what they neglect to mention is "as real as it gets... as long>as you have countless hours to find all the great upgrades>people have done because it isn't even close to as real as it>gets">>don't get mad at people or question them because they wonder>why a game claiming true to life isn't even close?"Sorry do I need to talk slower? Anybody who is confused by those statements obviously shouldn't be debating. I made myself perfectly clear. A tagline "as real as it gets" means it claims to be as true to life as life itself. It isn't that difficult to understand.>I know that it's not just me, but that sure sounds like you>are saying that "as real as it gets" and "true to life" are>one nd the same. Have fun looking for the "straw man" THERE!No strawman, you're just arguing semantics instead. Another classic ploy to cover up the fact you have absolutely no response except to pick 2 things and dwell on them as if my whole arguments revolved around a lame tagline M$' marketing department made up.>Glad to hear that. You seem to be the one that is clueless>here. And what exactly am I clueless about? The only person who is clueless is yourself and everybody else who feels that jumping on an individual for asking questions and wanting to know why they paid 60 dollars for a product claiming to be "as real as it gets" is justified, and anybody who comes to defend them and shows how ignorant, illogical, and ridiculous you are is blindly attacked like I am.I dare you to argue what I posted WITHOUT mentioning "as real as it gets" and I dare you to justify the witchhunts that go on here just because some people (old or young) are unable to control their tempers

January 26, 200521 yr Hate to say it Big Al, but I only see one individual doing any "bashing" in this thread. As far as interpreting "as real as it gets" to mean "as real as life itself", I think you really need to think about that for a second. First of all, what developer is going to make the claim that their desktop PC simulation is the equal of reality?? None, becuase obviously its not possible to accomplish and no resonable person would seriously expect it. If that was what they meant to imply by the (silly little slogan invented by some suit in the marketing dept.) they would have said "as real as reality itself." What they say is simply "as real as it gets" - "it" being PC flightsims. Now if you want to argue that that isn't an accurate statement, then (as I suggested before), please tell me which of the currently available PC flightsims is "more real." I would suggest that while there might be one or two that get some specific element more "right", there aren't any that offer the whole package that FS9 does, so in that sense the slogan is perfectly fine. If you choose to operate under the delusion that by saying the sim is "as real as it gets" MS is now under a contractual obligation to present reality to us on our desktop, that's your problem.
