ADE Taxiway lights on or off, how to set them

Featured Replies

Just starting out in ADE (Airport Design Editor) and I noticed that when I use a stock airport from FSX, I can edit taxiways just fine and they have lights if it is a lighted stock airport.

When I start to draw my NEW taxi way there are no lights.  So my work around is of course to use existing taxiways with lights on them.

I read the ADE taxiway  section and it did not address the lighting part so and I must have missed it.   I have searched longer than I would have liked so now my questions here.

Main question..  How do I set taxiway lights ON or OFF when setting up my taxiways using ADE?

Thanks!!!

Respectfully,

Jet

Ha.  Found the answer...

1.  Draw you new taxi route using taxi points.

2.  RIGHT CLICK on the blue line that is in the middle of your new taxi route.

3.  Up pops your edit menus.

4.  Go to EDIT OBJECT.

5.  There you will have options to do many things.  IE Turn lights on and off the taxiway lights!  (LEFT OR RIGHT SIDE..  HOW COOL IS THAT!!??)  you will be able to turn on and off the yellow taxi lines as need be as well.

I knew there had to be a straight forward easy answer to this.

I am new to ADE and the learning curve is intense.  That said you can turn a simple old stock airport into a payware quality airport.

Great Work Scruffy Duck!!

Selecting and double clicking (or Right Click > Edit Object) any airport element or object will open the properties dialog.  This will allow you to change the appearance or behavior of the objects
