Orbx PNW or Vancouver Plus v3?

Featured Replies

I added Vancouver Plus to my Orbx PNW scenery and it doesn't look like a better replacement for the Vancouver area. Is anyone else disappointed especially with the performance? I am going back to just Orbx PNW. At FSDT CYVR my framerates are single digits. Why is Vplus worse than PNW?

I had Vancouver Plus way back when it came out for FS9 and I remember it being hard on the framerate then, although it did look great.  With FSX I find just the ORBX PNW + FSDT CYVR look great. You do loose some custom bridge and building models when you don't have Vancouver Plus, but that is hardly noticeable in the entire scheme of things and the overall area looks very much like the real thing.  The combination of ORBX PNW and FSDT CYVR gives me a solid and smooth 30FPS (locked) with high settings on my system - see specs.

Performance is good for me too with PNW and FSDT. I will disable VPlus.
