March 13, 201412 yr Guys, recently I've purchased the Steve directx 10 fixer,it was amazing at the beginning, the aa has reduce 99% of shimmering. But I am currently experiencing some issue and it is when I start my sim,it shows black screen with the mouse pointer, the aircraft's engines are running but everything's just black. When I switch to dx9 using the Steve dx10 fixer, everything become normal again.Could anyone teach me how to fix this?Thank You
March 14, 201412 yr Did you try uninstalling the Libraries?, or uninstalling the Fixer completely? Is this all aircraft? What has changed between the successful beginning and now this predicament. pj i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
March 15, 201412 yr Author Hi Paul, thank you so much for the reply.I did not change anything in my cfg or nvidia inspector.I have also tried uninstalling the fixer and library. It still don't work. Chris
March 15, 201412 yr chrisavenz i am sure you doing something wrong.. when i tried that fix for the very first time i faced similar issues...please do a recheck and install fresh.. also check if u have installed enb series or sweetfx.. i guess that might conflict and cause the problem...
March 15, 201412 yr Commercial Member The problems you describe are caused by a library. The usuall candidates are sweetfx which doesn't work with a recent windows update enb series or some add on which is not dx10 compatible. If you look in your fsx directory what dlls do you see? Only a thing called enbconvertor. Not a .dll file. But I am using shade for fsx instead of enb. That's odd.
March 15, 201412 yr Commercial Member can you provide a listing of all the dll files in your fsx installation directory (where fsx.exe resides)? There should be many dlls - most related to FSX itself. Do you have multiple monitors? and/or two GPUs? My FSX Analysis Blog

Steve, thank you so much for your help.I figured out the enbconvertor is conflict with the fixer.BTW the enbconvertor is from an software called FXAAtool.Apparently FXAAtool is conflicted with the fixer also.Yes I have 2 GPU and 1 monitor.
March 15, 201412 yr Thanks for posting this, Chris - I've now updated the "How-To" guide from the information you've provided.
