Need your talents with an ATC

Featured Replies

Dear Bryan,

I have been using FS2Crew with the NGX for some time now, both the button and lately the voice version, it does make my flying a lot more realistic, however there is one thing that is really bothering me and that's the ATC. I have tried different options with trying to get my flight simming as realistic as possible. I have tried RC4 but the lack of SIDs, STARs and voice control makes that a no go. I liked Proflight Emulator which gave me SIDs and STARs but again no voice option. I purchased MCE because that allows you to use voice for RC4 and MCE, however the voice control for the co pilot is flakey. I thought about using FS2Crew for the co-pilot and MCE for ATC with voice control (and also GSX/AES), however on a long flight I cannot get the co-pilot to take over the comms, because I am not using MCE co pilot. I tried VOXATC as it has voice control, SIDs and STARs, controls AI traffic, however with the great sounds of a FS2Crew co-pilot, the TTS voice of VOXATC sounds terrible. I thought PROATC X might be the answer but that looks like a lot of problems.

So I have come to the conclusion that the best person to make a great ATC is great developer, it would be nice to hand the comms over to the FS2Crew co-pilot, or to work with the developer of PFE to allow FS2Crew to connect to it.

Just an idea.

Hi Craig,

I'll consider it... but it's unlikely to happen due to time constraints.

I appreciate your comments that the FS2Crew FO sounds great compared to other addons, but making an ATC is program isn't the kind of thing you just do in a weekend :-)

Just while your waiting for the PMDG 777 SDK ... LOL
