March 23, 201412 yr In FSX, if you have two monitors hooked up and switch to full screen mode, one of the monitors is blacked out allowing you to drag gauges into it. Does Prepar3D 2.X still behave the same way? I would rather put up charts on the second monitor but still use "full screen" mode. I know LM changed Prepar3D's full screen mode to border less windowed mode or something along those lines so I am curious of it still behaves the same way... Thanks!
March 24, 201412 yr I would say P3D v2.1 behaves different from FSX. The second screen isn't blacked out like in FSX full screen mode. As a sample I run Plan-G on the 2nd monitor. In the graphic settings one has to untick "black-out desktop" and the Windows task bar has to be set to "auto hide" in the properties. After this it's a perfect full screen feeling. Spirit
March 25, 201412 yr P2DV2 doesnt halve a fullscreen/windowed like you have in FSX. Its actually all windowed mode with different variants. In order to move a panel or gauge to a second monitor with P3DV2, you always have to undock it though it appears as FSX fullscreen.
March 29, 201412 yr Question re. FSX vs P3Dv2 GPUs/multiplescreens capabilities in DX9 and DX10 I use below described configuration in FSX DX9 [full screen mode]: GPU 1 [gtx780] connected to 3 Dell monitors [1920x1080p] [one surround display 5760x1080p] [Virtual cockpit] GPU 2 [motherboard Intel HD3000] connected to one Acer monitor [1366x768] as extended display [for PFD, ND, etc] In FSX DX10 [using SteveFX] the configuration [2 GPUs] does not work [does not work either full and windowed mode]. It works only with one GPU1 [gtx780] + 3xDells. [both full and windowed modes] I would like ask Avsim users who have P3Dv2 and similar config [especially two GPUs serving surround and extended display] whether such config will work in P3Dv2 in DX10 or DX11. My objective is to run simulator [only hope is P3Dv2x] in DX10 using 2 GPUs/surround 5760x1080 and extended display for instruments. Looking forward to your opinions. Thanks.

I would forget about the Intel HD3000 GPU and run the four monitors off the GTX780. I run four off a GTX670 with both FSX and P3D so your 780 should do a lot better, at least with P3D. gb. YSSY.
