Hi,

I have DX10 setup nicely, FPS & smoothness seems to be much better with frame rate unlimited (60+ Flytampa OMDB heavy weather, PMDG 777)

I checked all my addon scenery and all is great except one airport.  'Aerosoft LIME'   At this one airport FPS is at 60 except when sitting on the runway, it drops to 9fps.  The actual airport displays correctly like all the others.

Have flown many times to LIME with DX9 without issues.

Btw, turning on Bloom increases my FPS further?? Is that because my Titan is now doing all the work in DX10?

Thanks

Rob Prest

Nevermind - Just got back home, tried again and the FPS is back to 60

Are you leaving Bufferpools out of fsx.cfg?

If so or if you are using

[bUFFERPOOLS]

UsePools=0

Then as far as that goes, yes you are using mostly if not all the horsepower you have on that Titan!

Nice, I'm jealous!   LOL

Hi,

Yes I am using UsePools=0

I bought the Titan for P3D, so glad I can now use it in FSX with DX10.  A 780TI would probably be better for DX10

Rob Prest

Ah noted!  Thanks!  I have been reading that the 780ti seems to be the GPU to get of late.

Respectfully,

Jet

i dont have higher fps with dx10,but when its low like 12 fps its much more smooth still, than in dx9
