Hello! For some reason I can't open the control panel by clicking on the usual spot in the VC but when I change view to the 2D panel it works fine. I'm loading the A/C as instructed in 2D mode. Any clue?

You ran the PMDG Performance manager, which deletes the VC FS2Crew Clickspot by accident.

 

Best solution is to assign a joystick/keyboard button to open the Main Panel:
