If you are busy you don't have to answer posts and spend half an hour looking up answers, no matter how urgent the problem appears. That's your choice and if you feel you've wasted your time that's your problem.

As you can see the OP has reacted to my somewhat unfriendly response in a very adult manner. He even appologized where he might not have had to!

We also PMed in the mean time, I have appologized as well, and all is good.

 

 

I know that I dont have to answere to anybody.

I know that nobody asks me to look things up before I reply.....but i am nice like that :-)

I do that all the time, for everybody.

I also dive into the books if things get complicated or have to be answered accurately.......nobody asks me to do that.....I do that because I know what it is like to have a problem where you just cant get past and are just waiting till someone helps you out. With all the different time zones sometimes a whole day can go by where you are just dieing for some answeres. I know what thats like, so I reply even if I dont have too much time.

 

I also often write really long replys that take a lot of time!

Nobody asks me to that either.

Some might even want me to respond in shorter wording.

But I dont, I rather put a bit more time in a reply if that helps prevent confusion.

 

But I do like it when that invested time is being appriciated.

And this time I felt it was not (I was wrong), and it came at really stressy few days here so I reacted irritated, yes.

I wasn't putting you in your place nor was I only trying to get involved in a dispute. Such comments are unfair. We all post here because we like to help others. In case you didn't notice I also spent some time trying to help the op. As it turned out it wasn't necessary but I don't feel my time was wasted as I learnt things too.

 

I thought your earlier answer was unreasonable and said so without any malice. I'm glad you resolved this by pm but I had no way of knowing this.
