April 5, 201412 yr Has anyone else had a problem with the cockpit lights? I have a DirectX11 card and have never had light problems with any plane. But when I load this one in ready for takeoff mode, it's almost totally dark (a few numbers and the FMC are lit). I tried the knobs for the lights and some more numbers came on and others just got a little brighter. Everything else, including the main gauges, were very dark. I posted this on their support forum, but no answers yet. I really hope someone has an answer, because it's an otherwise really nice plane. One of the major selling points to me was the incredible lighting demo and I love night flying. Any chance the low-res textures would work better? Nevermind. They did post a response and it looks like there may be an answer coming soon.
April 6, 201412 yr There are several knobs and a switch ... did you try them all? Have you watch the video on lighting? Initially, you can have a totally dark cockpit ... it would not be a problem with the aircraft. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
April 7, 201412 yr Author Thanks Vaughan. I did see the demo and I tried the knobs at the bottom of the panel just like the video. It just doesn't work. I also tried the just released service pack 4 and it's still mostly dark and nothing has changed with the lighting. At this point, I'm concluding that it just doesn't work with my system.

April 7, 201412 yr When you move the knobs (or switch) with your mouse do you get a visible knob rotation or switch up/down movement? Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
April 7, 201412 yr Author Yes, they do move. Also, the right knob has a click sound at about the 11:00 position.
