Any KCMH add-ons in development?
I think SXAirportDesign is working on Nashville now. I would guess that someone may be looking to develop Salt Lake CIty too at some point .

Heads up! It's the captainsim annual "everything for 9,99 24h sale"!
Thanks for the info Brian. That is annoying and I guess that's the kind of thing that has hurt their reputation, at least with the more modern planes. I usually manually control the descent at some point after TOD anyway with the few FMC planes I use, so maybe it's not a deal killer in my case. I'm still not sure about it, though.

Heads up! It's the captainsim annual "everything for 9,99 24h sale"!
I have a question about the CS767. Seriously, is it really that bad? Keep in mind, I'm not that demanding about perfect systems and 100% bug-free products. I really like the CS 737 and that one has very annoying issues. I just want a fun plane to fly occasionally. At the same time, I don't want to throw even $13 away on a really bad plane that would frustrate me, so I haven't purchased it. And no, I do not want the Level D product. I'm sure it's a lot better, but it just seems too old to me and the price is too high for a product that dated. Also, someone asked about the 707. I personally think that's one of the better ones from them. I also like the 727, but the sound set could be better.

Is UTX 2.0 Worth the price?
This is from the Flight1 website forum post about UTX2: "Among other updates, Ultimate Terrain USA 2.0 provides completely replaced road data for the entire USA, based on TomTom’s commercial data, which is normally found in today’s GPS units. " I think that statement is a convincing argument and I personally don't know of any product that can claim better accuracy for the US right now.

Are default airports really so bad?
I couldn't agree more. What I do is try to fill out the map over time with select airports. The cost adds up, so I keep it simple and appreciate the occasional sale. But, I always try to look at purchases like this as a way to contribute to a developer's work in making improvements to the simulation experience. I do think the airports add something to it.

Nashville TN?
It looks pretty good. I've been following this thread and really appreciate the work you've put into the scenery. I'm curious, did you include night textures too?

Anybody Else Planning to Get the Upcoming CLS DC-10 HD?
It could be the driver. I have a similar issue with the Milviz plane, but that plane is rendering lights in a completely different way. And I don't have lighting issues with any other plane, other than the DC-10. I would be fine with it if the lights looked like that picture.

Anybody Else Planning to Get the Upcoming CLS DC-10 HD?
I haven't used the DC-10 in a while, so I just tried it out and realized something - the panel lights don't work. If I turn them on, nothing happens. The flood lights are the only thing that works and I can't stand that red glow. To compare, I tried out the MD-81 and both the panel and overhead lighting worked great.

FTX Palm Springs KPSP Released........and wow, its incredible!
Blending issues don't bother me, personally, so that's good to hear. I have to say, the scenery looks amazing. Rob's first picture with the terminal almost looks like a photo. And all that coverage for just $28? That's almost like buying an airport and getting area scenery free. One question, doesn't Monterey require the Orbx NCA scenery or does that one also work with GEX? I've always ignored these airports, since I'm not an Orbx owner. But if the only problem is some minor blending issues, I may have to take another look at them.

Dogfight Between Coolsky Flight One DC-9 and Captain Sim 737
I don't have the DC-9, so I can't comment on that. I would guess that it is better, from what I've read. I think the OP's comparison post was really good. Regarding the two main 737s, I have both and I think they both have their issues. I couldn't get the autopilot to work right with the Milviz and their support forum did not help me figure out the problem, beyond "we have an upcoming fix." Also, Milviz has pretty much announced that they are done with the 737 fixes, which doesn't make sense to me. Also, the Milviz DX11 night lights would not work on my machine, despite it having the published minimum standards (apparently, it's ATI cards that are the problem). I thought they said that they would add an option for non-DX11 lighting, but I don't think they ever did. Oh well. I didn't see it mentioned, but there is an upcoming SP for the CS 737, so I guess we'll see how that works out. I personally like the plane, despite the bugs and even though I thought the Milviz felt better in flight and had great sounds. I also think CS easily wins with the VC. The Milviz version was way over-the-top. There is no way I would knowingly board a plane like that in real life, unless it was the last one out of the danger zone.

Anybody Else Planning to Get the Upcoming CLS DC-10 HD?
I bought the box version several years ago and liked it for the most part. The only thing I didn't like about about it was the VC lights at night. I didn't care for the only option being the red glowing color, so I hope they changed that.

Difference Between Quality Wings and JustFlight BA146s?
I have the Just Flight and it was ok when it worked. But there there were too many annoying bugs that I couldn't figure out. The worst one was that it wouldn't always start correctly. Sometimes it would, but I usually had to Ctrl-E it at some point to make it work. I don't have the QW one, but I do have their 757, so I'm guessing it's pretty good.

Wilcopub Embraer Fms Discontinuity
Click delete and then click to the button to the left of it. I've had CTDs with the WIlco 737 Evo when both the gauge and FMS are up at the same time during descent. I stopped clicking the gauge when the FMC is active and it doesn't happen. I haven't had that problem with the e-jets, though.

FS Captain: your opinions please
LOL...I get that every flight now. It's got to be a program bug...

FS Captain: your opinions please
I just installed the fixpack and it worked! The installer is now showing up in the bin folder.
-
FS Captain: your opinions please
My installation is in the default location. Also, I don't normally turn the virus scan off, so it was on when I downloaded and installed it. Maybe that had something to do with it. Would running the fixpack work?

FS Captain: your opinions please
mjl1966: FScamp is right, if you don't launch it by right clicking FSX and choosing "Run as administrator" it won't work. But it sounds like there was something else going on. Unfortunately, it also sounds like you quit before getting help from anyone here. Oh well. I will say this, the latest version is a lot buggier than it was before and I'm sorry I updated it. The worst thing is the lack of FCOM/ACARS installer now. For some reason, it was never installed and now I have to add the guage manually. There's an icon on the desktop, but no program attached and I've tried to install it several times. Also, the announcements are slower to react to commands and the first officer complains on every single takeoff. I also noticed that certain FA announcements (like the welcome announcement) are barely audible now.

Has anyone else created their own "virtual" airline?
I bought FSCaptain a while back and building your own "private VA" is one of the things you can do with it. You can either use a provided schedule, a converted schedule from WOAI, a generated list of flights for a hub, or create you're own from scratch. If you take the time to build it from scratch, you can choose a flight at the gate. You could also skip all of that and just set any destination when you start the program in FSX. When you set up the VA, you decide (and can later change) which of the rules, if any, to follow. The rules include things like using landing lights, sending position reports, and on-time arrivals. Each flight is graded based on the specified rules and logged at the end. If you want more of a company approach, you could check out FS Passengers. The only problem with that program is it may not be supported much now and may not run well on some newer systems. I did try it once and could not complete a flight without blowing a tire or crashing, so I gave up on it. It also wouldn't allow "warping" (clicking the plane on the map and dragging it closer to your destination) which I sometimes have to do to finish a long flight. FSCaptain does allow for that.

Is XPAX as good as FS Passengers?
The demo should have included an Installer (FS Captain FCOM installer) to load the program panel into any airplane that you have. The best idea is to try it in the default 737 first. That said, I thought the newer version can be run from outside FSX and didn't require installing it for each airplane. Also, make sure you run FSX as the administrator.

Is XPAX as good as FS Passengers?
I think FSCaptain (http://www.fscaptain.net/) is the only one. It's a good program and it keeps getting better. The developers are always adding new features and fixing bugs. They also have an active website forum and are on this forum too. If you want to try it, they have a demo version.

Searching for a US Airways livery for my CRJ-900 NextGen by Wilco
From what I've read, the paint kit for the 737 is too hard to use. It could be that it's the same for the CRJ.

737-200 VC lights are not working
Yes, they do move. Also, the right knob has a click sound at about the 11:00 position.
