From what a gathered when it came out, folks were complaining about diminished performance in FS9 because of DirectX 9.0C (as opposed to DirectX 9.0b). Were these just unsubstantiated rumors or is there truly some sort of problem (performance or otherwise) with this version of DirectX?

Runs great for me as well. In fact, I thought the sim was noticably smoother after installing 9.0C. Who knows but certainly no worse.Randall

Perhaps a lot of the issues were associated with SP2 installation (DX 9.0c come with SP2)?I just remember people saying slower performance, etc...Thanks for all the input... Keep it coming...

Put SP2 on and never looked back. I don't have a problem with FS and performance.
