Cloud shadow casting

Featured Replies

For those of you who need to be convinced what cloud shadow does/look like...

FPS were "OK" for me. But when I turn on the terrain shadowcasting - medium setting -, it drops below the twenties.

I took this with Nvidia ShadowPlay, discovered yesterday that ShadowPlay can finally snap Prepar3d v2.

Hope it's fine that I post this here and not in the Video forum. It is ment for demonstration purpose.

Could you please explain how you got ShadowPlay to capture Prepar3d ? It does not seem to work here, even with up to date drivers and latest Prepar3D...

Thanks in advance

Using the latest beta driver; there's 1 option that caught my attention in the ShadowPlay settings: capture desktop!

As P3D is actually never in Full Screen... It's merely expanding the window the fit/hide the desktop.

I've been able to record P3D flights with ShadowPlay as well.  I'll attempt to explain what I did to make it work:

After you select ShadowPlay (from GeForce Experence), click on the toggle switch (puts the recorder on standby).

Then click on the Preferences icon (the gear icon under the toggle).

Under the monitor, check "Allow Desktop Capture."

And you should be good to go.

When I originally replied to RockOla, his was the last visible post in this thread.  I later edited my post, for clarification.  I was only trying to be helpful.

Thanks to both of you - updating drivers and Experience, that was the key.

I will now switch my Alaska trip to P3D !
