ATR 72 MSFS 2024 - AAU 4
I hope it will correct many things too. Good thing is that this native MSFS 2024 ATR version will probably attract painters to do 2024 compatible liveries which are missing at the moment...

Tech flight test from Atlanta to Marrakech (FSR4.1)
Thanks for your kind words I hope this topic will help spread the use of FSR 4.1 amongst flight simmers. It is really an improvement over FS 3. What I miss now is frame generation above 2X.

Tech flight test from Atlanta to Marrakech (FSR4.1)
Hi folks I wanted to test many things on my mini ITX rig : 7800X3D/9070XT/32GB RAM/SSD SAMSUNG 980 PRO my new Lian Li DAN A3 Wood Edition 😍 latest FSR 4.1 dll with Optiscaler (my mini ITX rig : 7800X3D/9070XT/32GB RAM/SSD SAMSUNG 980 PRO) SAM OFF (Smart Access Memory - AMD's REBAR) HAGS OFF (Windows 11 setting - Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling) Optimized bios setting (EXPO II / PBO negative 30 on all cores) Custom fan curves under Fan Control This is the quick Optiscaler installation guide Well FSR 4.1 is quite an improvement in clarity, sharpness, and reduction of shimmering ! And at no FPS cost. Of course YMMV. I did notice a lot of smearing at night in external views (for example the tail "bleeding" and leaving pixelated trails in the sky), I have yet to understand if it's scaling, frame generation or both. On my rig, I reached the perfect balance between visual quality, performance, thermals. In 3440x1440 I am cruising @ 60 fps with CPU 60°C / GPU at 45° most of the time, never above 50°C - with custom fan profiles under Fan Control. As expected, SAM and HAGS off basically solved my low gpy memory alerts. Not one in sight, even at departure in Atlanta with 100+ AI around. And as a reminder, 9070XT "only" boasts 16 GB vram. Well enough with tech excuses, let's fly 😅 : Inibuilds A350 from Atlanta to Marrakech (real flight DL186 - operated in real life by 764s but I have to make my A350 profitable !)

Screen ghosting occur when frame generation enabled
Same here but again, lowering the screen refresh rate in the Windows settings took rid of the ghosting in my case. Everyone sensitive to ghosting should try this first, it takes 10s, and can be switched back if it has no effect.
-
Screen ghosting occur when frame generation enabled
As I said earlier, try to lower the refresh raté of your screen. On my ultrawide Xiaomi, anything beyond 60hz results in heavy ghosting.
-
Screen ghosting occur when frame generation enabled
I guess it can depend on many factors. In my case, lowering the screen refresh rate to my target fps (60 fps) greatly reduced the issue to a point I do not notice it anymore.

Testing SU4 Beta 1.6.16.0 down to La Réunion
Thank you ; "all squared", nothing is perfect but I remember approaching CYUL with the A350 @ 15 FPS 6 months ago. I can now maintain 55-60 FPS in most scenarii. And approaching FMEE is even smoother of course with few traffic.

Testing SU4 Beta 1.6.16.0 down to La Réunion
Smooth flight, with Activesky Weather / inibuilds A350 / AIG From Paris Orly LFPO to La Réunion-Roland-Garros FMEE I am quite amazed by the progress done on MSFS 2024 + A350 performance-wise. I remember early flights ending in slideshow approaches.

My MSFS 2024 nirvana after 30 years of simming
Yes, good old MSDOS days. I had time to serve and eat my cereal while my father's computer was booting 🤭 I had missed your post on Edelweiss, just read it, great post ! The livery "Helping hands" is one of the Fenixsim liveries available through their installer. The real one aims at supporting the Help Alliance which is defined like this "aid organization of the Lufthansa Group and their employees, and forms the central pillar of the Group's activities in the area of social responsibility.". Hands are supposed to represent hands of the contributors. You can read more here. Ahah, I know, but the desire to talk about trains running on time was too strong (in France, we say, ‘We only talk about trains that are late’). I didn't know about this simulation, I just watched a video, the graphics remind me of the FS5.1 era.

My MSFS 2024 nirvana after 30 years of simming
For my use, AITC + default ATC is OK most of the time. My sole expectation of ATC is it gives me take-off clearance and landing clearance to avoid collision on landing.

My MSFS 2024 nirvana after 30 years of simming
For DLSS I think you're right, but not sure about FSR ; I have HAGS disabled but FSR on in MSFS. You have 16 gig on your 4080 ? I hesitated between a 24-gig 7900 XTX and a 16-gig 9070 XT. I chose the latter, for the upcoming FSR4, and hoping Asobo will further improve VRAM management (seems quite the case in the latest beta).

My MSFS 2024 nirvana after 30 years of simming
I started simming with Flight Simulator 5.1 : pixelated textures, blocky buildings, squares, triangles to figure cities and mountains. All of that at an impressive 15 FPS in 640x480. 😆 30 years later I think I have reached a form of flightsim nirvana, combining performance, graphics and stability. I had never expected to be able to fly at major hubs with full AI traffic at stable 60 FPS. Here is my detailed hardware and software setup. Not pretending to be the Holy Grail, I just wanted to share my experience. Keep in mind everything below is housed in an ITX NR200P V2 case, so ymmv. 📟CPU : 7800X3D PBO negative -30 on all cores SMT OFF (that's the equivalent of Hyperthreading on Intel CPUs) Arctic Freezer 3 240mm cooling → CPU never exceed 72°C when benchmarking, and never abobe 65° when gaming ⚙️RAM : 32 Go DDR5 6000 MHz CAS 30 EXPO II 🎨GPU : PowerColor Radeon RX 9070 XT Reaper (bought at MSRP) Voltage offset : -70mv Memory frequency : 2700 MHz Memory fast timing ON Power limit : -20% AMD Freesync forced ON Resize Bar OFF → with these settings the perf loss is negligible (<2%) but the power draw falls from 300W+ to 240W and temperature barely reach 60° 📺 DISPLAY : Xiaomi G34WQI I tried eye tracking, face tracking, VR. But to me an ultra-wide screen is the best immersion/convenience ratio. Freesync ON 🪟WINDOWS : 11 Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling OFF (I have to try ON) Game mode ON MPO fix, corrects display artifacts especially on Chrome when playing and alt-tabing 🎮PERIPHERALS Joystick Winwing URSA Minor Arline Thrustmaster TCA + addons Increased friction on all axis Ultimate Detent and Tension mod for the Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant ✈️MSFS 2024 Everything high but clouds on ULTRA TAA scaling 105 FSR3 framegen MSFS traffic OFF AIG Traffic 100% Well, enough literature, this is the screenshots section, let's move on to the images😅 A replica of flight WK314 from Zurich LSZH to Bergen ENBR.

I hate it when people spread such exaggerated stereotypes. Some of us take 4 weeks, Sir 😅

Inibuilds A400M above the North Sea
I recently completed a flight from LFSO to ENBR in the iniBuilds A400M, and overall, I’m quite impressed. For a standard edition aircraft it is well-modeled, and the systems are generally solid. However, the EFB could be more developed and integrated with Navigraph. I could not spot any icing nor windshield effect despite flying in severe icing condition while descending. In terms of flight dynamics, the aircraft handles very well on the ground, but during approach, it feels overly sensitive, making it difficult to maintain the vertical glide path. Some fine-tuning in this phase would be beneficial. Sounds are decent but I expected more punch from the TP400. Aside from that, it's a great aircraft to fly!

A350 from Paris to Miami
Thanks to both of you I forgot to mention I replicated the real flight BF742 which departs from Paris Orly (LFPO) not from Roissy (LFPG). I used Jetstream Designs LFPO, and BMWorld's KMIA.

A350 from Paris to Miami
Not much to add, this was my first complete flight with the A350. An overall pleasant experience in spite of the flaws already mentionned in the various threads.

New RTX 4070 Super - MSFS 2024 hotter than any benchmark
At the risk of sounding obsessive, let me remind you that the undervolting takes 10 minutes to set up, maybe 20 more to find your sweet spot, and allows to easily save 5 to 10° under load, and around 60-70 Watts on a 4070. It can help if not solve the problem of PSU power, noise and temperature all at once.

New RTX 4070 Super - MSFS 2024 hotter than any benchmark
You should try undervolting your GPU, with MSI Afterburner. I run the same GPU (Gainward Phantom 4070 Super). By default, the GPU runs @ 2900 MhZ & 1200 mV. At this frequency and voltage it reaches 85-90° and the fans are loud as an A380 at TOGA With MSI Afterburner I limited the frequency @ 2500 MhZ & 900 mV. This may seem quite an extreme lower frequency but in MSFS I lose only 2-3 FPS but the temperature never exceeds 65°, and the fans are close to being inaudible. You may find an intermediate frequency and undervolt balance, to suit your needs.

FBW A380 2 questions
Make sure you use the 4k version (and not the 8k) and depending on your hardware, try running the sim with textures = high instead of Ultra. You can also try this downscaled cockpit texture mod. It has the advantage to install like any mod - in the community folder, thus not replacing any default texture. Should you have any issue with it, just remove it from your community folder.

A380X from Montréal to Lyon
You should... If you're already used to modern Airbuses, the learning curve is really straightforward. That was the flight that made me uninstall MSFS2020. MS2024 will mature, but is perfectly flyable in its current state on my system.

A380X from Montréal to Lyon
Wanted to fly a route I often flew on MSFS2020, but on 2024. I waited for months to be able to compare the two sims on a familiar route, as I wanted to have AIGTC working. I was finally able to complete the flight earlier this week, and I can say I am quite relieved ! The flight was even smoother than with MSFS2020 thanks to DLSS4. It was a real pleasure to take off in 1440p 60 fps from CYUL, and to land with the same smoothness 6 hours later in Lyon. A few issues though : > time sync not OK out of the box. I understood too late that a mod "corrects" this bug > AIG quirks but it was not perfect on 2020 either > fuel consumption not correct, might be tied to point no 1, but not sure Anyway, a few shots from this flight :

AI-generated flightplan for bush from Yakutat to Anchorage
I love airliners, but I cant fly from/to majors hubs without AIG. So while waiting for a proper AI traffic, I enjoy low n' slow and that's where MSFS really shines. Ground tesselation, 3d trees, ground effect & behaviour, I would not go back to MSFS 2020 for anything. Being attracted by Alaska but having 3 children, I don't have much time to fly : I had to cut back on planning. I asked ChatGPT : "I want to explore the south of Alaska. I plan on doing short hops in a Draco X from Yakutat to Anchorage. Please suggest 8-10 legs, between 30 and 60nm each, knowing I dont want to miss Chenega, Kenai Fjords Ntional Park, Kachemak Bay State Park, Tustumena Lake. Prepare me a summary table of the stages, with the points of interest, suggestions for landing sites suitable for my STOL aircraft, the duration, fuel consumption and minimum cruising altitude taking into account the constraints of the terrain. " + "Please update this table with a suggestion for a natural landing site for each leg" It basically output me this : Quite impressive isnt it ? It allowed me to enjoy my first hop from Yakutat, exploring the coast of Wrangell–Saint-Élie National Park. I landed somewhere near the shore (60° 1' 7,50" N 141° 58' 39,80" W) to set up the camp for the night. Already impatient to start the engine in the cold morning for the next leg ! And you know what I miss right now for that kind of flight ? An update to GeoShot, which allowed to take geotagged MSFS2020 screenshots. I am now curious to see if I can spot bears, elks, etc. Never been so impatient to take off. I'll have to bed the kids earlier 😅
