August 11, 2025Aug 11 Here's to hoping this one is more optimized without sacrificing the LOD. I flew .23 and was not happy. I had somehow managed to dodge the major stutter complaints until the last update and the sim didn't look all that great either. Apology off topic but a question saw that 9950x3d in your sign curious because I'm at the point of upgrading my intel I7-12700K... (since the intel drama I skip the 14700K) How is the performance gain and experience at your end in 2024? or using only 2020? Appreciated the feedback in advance. Cheers, André I'm on 2020, see no reasons (yet) to move into 2024 territory. I stepped up from 9900k (5.0-OC) that I purchased back in December 2018. The performance is great for my 2k set-up, as I use A LOT of AI with PSXT. All the sim's settings are at Ultra and I haven't even touched BIOS settings (typical thing with Intel). Tempts are at 78-80C at max with average at 70C with frequencies normally at 5200-5400 under MSFS load (don't have any other "games"). PS. Don't think that I'm ready to jump into 4k territory even with MSFS2020 as I would definitely have to compromise. Other than that - very happy camper. 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.
August 11, 2025Aug 11 Another beta build that doesn't address the core issues. It's beyond me why they can't fix glaring performance issues like the audio stutters and CPU spikes. Deliver us a working product instead of using your customer base as free beta testers. I gave the team the benefit of the doubt, but now it's starting to get annoying.

The previous update fixed 95% of my stutters, and the beta for SU3 is winding down, that's why the patch notes haven't been the big recently. Go learn how to program if you want to know what their issues are. Clearly it isn't as easy as you think it is. Edited August 11, 2025Aug 11 by Tuskin38

Using autofps helps but it drops the settings to very low just to get my performance back. Don't seem to have as big of an issue at departure but it's still noticeably worse than SU2. 5800x3d Asus 4090 ROG Strix OC 2TB SSD 32GB Ram

It's one of the most glaring issues with MSFS2024 since launch, so surely they have the team and resources to figure out what’s causing it.
