MSFS performance "absolutely staggeringly good".
It's clickbait nonsense with recycled advice.

FlyTampa... Area 51?
I'm all for fun, but no one other than a handful of people knows exactly what Area 51 looks like or how it operates, so how are they making this scenery? Pure fiction and imagination?

FlyTampa... Area 51?
Literally a scenery package no one asked for lol.

Sim Update 5 [1.7.27.0] Now Available | MSFS 2024
Well, there’s no reason that at 30,000 ft my CPU should be pegged at 100% and my fans going crazy. It’s like running a car engine at high RPM while parked for no reason. It won’t instantly damage anything, but it’s unnecessary heat and strain with no benefit.

Sim Update 5 [1.7.27.0] Now Available | MSFS 2024
This is my CPU usage over LA which lasted for a good 2 mins. I had to end the game via task manager because my PC was about to melt. You would think with SU5 we'll be moving foward but instead we're going 10 steps back. I just can't figure out how we have a stable version and the team goes and messes it up again with these service updates.

Sim Update 5 [1.7.27.0] Now Available | MSFS 2024
I'm getting crazy CPU spikes in and around LA. No issue during SU4. Personally I don't see a huge increase in performance compared to SU4. I'll give a few days because maybe the servers are overloaded but so far I can't see I'm impressed with SU5/

DLSS 5 - will it come to FS20XX
At this stage, and the way PC hardware prices are heading, we’ll need a $10k PC to run FS2028 and DLSS 5.

October 2025 - The Last Asobo Dev Update?
We had no idea 2024 was in development until they dropped a trailer out of nowhere. And it’s not too far fetched that they’re already working on the next version, especially with AI rapidly advancing, which will cut development times.

October 2025 - The Last Asobo Dev Update?
I actually think they're busy working on the next version of MSFS hence why there's no need for a dev update.

MSFS 2024: Sim Update 5 Beta (1.7.6.0) Out
Is there still night lighting on autogen even though the windows are missing in the beta?

DLSS 4.5 Preset L Review: Nvidia's Most Advanced Upscaler?
M + DLAA + FGx2 on my 5080 is a heaven.

Need help, Glideslope Pro KLAS install order.
I'm also happy with the GlideSlope version. Terminals a tad dark but otherwise I get better FPS, no flatten around the airport like FlyTampa and the custom buildings seem to be higher quality. Plus it works with the Vegas update.

Need help, Glideslope Pro KLAS install order.
I moved it all the way down and left the Vegas update as is. This fixes the invisible buildings in 2024.

New DLSS Version 310.5
I'm using preset M, DLSS + DLAA on my 5080 and it's some of the best image quality I've had in MSFS. I had a lot of shimmering using TAA, no shimmering at all with this combo.

MSFS 2024 Sim Update 4 Beta - 1.6.30.0
Too many keyboard warriors on Avsim who can't hold a mature convo.

Sound Popping & Stuttering
So I spent some time last night searching the forums, Reddit, and FB groups regarding this issue and the conclusion I came to was that users on 23H2 had no stutters. I decided to do a fresh install and lucky for me my Win11 build was 23H2 and to my amazement the stutters were completely gone. Last night I did multiple flights, not a single stutter. Same thing today: no stutters after the SU4 update and even the micro stutters I was dealing with were gone. Now, of course, staying on 23H2 will be tricky because MS ended support but my PC is strictly for MSFS so I can block the updates. It now makes sense why they haven't addressed this issue because the problem might be more complex than just a server issue; it's likely related to the way 24H2 and 25H2 manage the CPU. I'll test some more but for now I've resolved my stutter issues.

Sim Update 4 Beta - 1.6.25.0 Released
You should have asked first where I place my cache file instead of being a smart word not allowed.

Sim Update 4 Beta - 1.6.25.0 Released
I didn't use the default location to save my cache file.

Sim Update 4 Beta - 1.6.25.0 Released
Or you can just rename the folder and the sim won't create a cache file. I've tested cache on and off and I get better performance with it off. No stutters and from what I read if you have a good connection you can get away with no cache.

Sim Update 4 Beta - 1.6.25.0 Released
I finished flying into DrzewieckiDesign’s Newark. Absolutely flawless on ultra settings, and I’m able to disable rolling cache which eliminates 98% of the stutters for me. I’m beyond impressed with the performance gains. Job well done.

Great performance, I think we're getting close to the final release.

MSFS Auto FPS App
Is there anyway I can make autofps show up in dark mode?

2024 beta SU4 1.6.23.0 released
I'm really enjoying the current beta build so I think the actual release should finally give the masses the performance this sim should have had at launch.

Interesting....Boeing using MSFS as training platform
Well, my airline used FSX during training sessions. It was never used for actual training but just as a tool to explain different procedures. Funny enough FSX graphically was more impressive than CAE's software. And I'm not overly shocked by this announcement. Despite performance issues, the MSFS series is a very impressive piece of software, and I’m glad to see non-gamers adopting ans scaling the platform.

MSFS 2020 1.39.9.0 vs 2024 1.6.19.0 - Ultra settings
MSFS2024 SU4 is more fluid and gets me more FPS than MSFS2020.
