I can't believe people still listen to him. He says this on virtually every new driver release and recycles all of his usual stuff. Still, he gets the clicks he wants I suppose.

Watched that video earlier Fielder and downloaded the driver after. It certainly feels smoother than the previous driver to me and the previous driver was good so I echo his sentiments. I've not analysed the frametimes but it feels good on the few short flights I've done with it and tested at London City and New York with lots of addons.

Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)

I'll be slightly surprised and that because whenever I do a driver install I go thru the ritual of DDU in Safe Mode, clear caches, install cleanly, avoid NV HD Audio, avoid the NV App, and in general it always improves especially if it's been a few months since the last driver install, even when reinstalling the same driver. TBH though that improvement is subtle because smoothness is generally the case.

This is true in MSFS2020 also. New driver is phenomenal even on old(er) hardware....

After installing new 600 series Nvidia driver (610.47) I knew it would be bad before doing the cache clearing routine. And it was. For the first time in months, there was hesitation when panning the view. This stutter was after landing from London City to Heathrow.

Then I did all the cache cleaning (both dx cache and rolling cache) and dlls swapping and the next trial of the same flight was perfect.

Island sim pilot cache routine:

1 (SHADER CACHE)

2 (ROLLING CACHE)

1 NCP, Manage 3D Settings, global settings, SHADER CACHE SIZE: SET TO DISABLE

RESTART COMPUTER

C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Local\NVIDIA\DXCACHE ... DELETE ALL THAT YOU CAN

DELETE ALL IN GLCACHE FOLDER (if any)

C:\Users\NAME\AppData\LocalLow\NVIDIA\DXCache ...DELETE ALL (may already be empty)

C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Roaming\NVIDIA\ DELETE ALL IN COMPUTER CACHE FOLDER

ALSO DELETE ALL IN GLCACHE FOLDER (if any)

----

windows search, disk cleanup, disk C: OK, delete all in directx shader cache (only check the box directx Shader Cache and nothing else)

---

NCP SHADER CACHE SIZE: RESET TO UNLIMITED (or whatever you use)

---

2 ROLLING CACHE DELETE (this path is for msfs2024)

C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache

DELETE ROLLINGCACHE.CCC file

It's clickbait nonsense with recycled advice.

I have never noticed any difference when updating graphics drivers. This is why I am still using 566.36.

What made you update to 566.36?

Nonsense. I have never seen any difference after upgrading drivers.

I'm on a 3060 Ti and I only use TAA, no frame generation, but I will give it a fair try !

I have the Nvidia App, and I never uninstaled through DDU again. It's all done throught the App now for me, not even clean install because I want to preserve previous settings, and it's been great during the last 4 updates. Haven't jumped into the new 6xx driver series though...
