Long gone are the days where graphics drivers suddenly give massive performance increases, if you do notice a huge change then there was more than likely something wrong on your system previously.

I recently downgraded from a 2gb internet to a 500mb and MSFS functions exactly the same for much less money. Could probably go lower. :)

When I upgraded to MSFS2024, I realized that my 3070 with 8GB of VRAM was not going to cut it even at 1080p and low settings. I was running out of VRAM at the gate at Aerosoft Frankfurt. I ended up selling my 3070 for $210 and buying the 3090 for $480. That was an excellent upgrade for my use case.

My internet connection is only 150 MB and MSFS2024 never uses anywhere near that.

is it me or does it looks like the sim is going from PC version to console version.

I mean, there are still folks on here who "recommend" disabling the community folder during updates.

You got an RTX 3090 for $480? I have just checked on the CEX site, and there is one available for £930 (which is around $1200)!!

Yeah it was a pretty good deal. It was used mind you but in excellent condition. It was going to be either than or a 5060 Ti 16GB for $550 so I went for the 3090.

:-) i am still on a I7-4770K@4,4GHZ, 32GB DDR3 RAM and 4TB SSD total with a EVGA GTX1080TI 11GBVRAM using 1440P and 25HZ/FPS as a base with anything including the A350 without Cabin at high to Ultra settings and TLOD at 25-100.

Temps around the 75-85c on CPU and about 65-70c on GPU

Driver is still the prior version

My wife says i can do an upgrade for the last 3 years but i havent really had to . Instead i got alot of WinCTRL and other hardware.

Maybe when the 6080 or 6090 arrives who nows

Ever notice how the people who have the most problems are the ones who faff around with the computer like they know what they're talking about? The unpopular fact is that 99% of the time the reason problems appear is because SETTINGS ARE TOO HIGH FOR THE HARDWARE THE SIM IS BEING RUN ON. It's really that simple.
