So, Navigraph is 9 USD a month. I could just pay an extra 6 USD per month, subscribe to Say Intentions and have controlled AI? Plus MSFS2024 comes with its own charts, free of charge right? So, it seems 6 USD extra per month is worth it for say intentions. Am I missing something?

That is not what I said at all. Let me rephrase so we are on the same page. The video does not do the new product any justice, so, for someone who is not a sim aficionado, such as yourself, it could put them off purchasing, yes. I am not sure how hard that is to understand. And no, I did not sit here, screaming at my own mind. I am not sure where you dredge that derogatory stuff from, but it isn't welcome here. As for X-plane.org, I certainly won't be buying anything through them, they are about as friendly as you, but that's a whole other story. Good day. 😘

Who said I was repulsed? No one. There are not a lot of other addons like X-World pro, though, and the original video that started this discussion doesn't do it any justice with textures on the ground that look like they come from 2002. I am not so sure what is so hard to grasp about 1.) someone's opinions and 2.) being able to express that opinion. I never said that he did care. I reiterate, I said the textures in the video are awful and look like they come from 2002. If you are happy with that then fine, I have no issue with that. For me, it is a slight issue, for you or others it's not. Great.

I didn't say it was. Monetisation is irrelevant; the textures do the product zero favours. They look like something from 2002. If it were my product, I wouldn't be happy with someone advertising it that way, good intentions or not. My comment was in a civilised way, thank you very much. The same applies to you, if you don't like my opinion, just close the tab, or scroll on by, or if you must reply at least word your reply in a constructive manner instead of just 'do a better one'. Hypocrisy.

They’re trying to showcase a product, and in my opinion doing a bad job. What more do you want? Rubbish. Of course you can criticise. You do not need to be a chef to know a dish is burnt, or a director to know a movie has terrible pacing. Valid feedback relies on recognising the end result, not just the technical execution.

Why would I? I am not a video creator, nor am I promoting a product, but that does not stop me from having an opinion. 'Do a better one' is just a stupid, defensive, thing to say. I share my opinion because I want people to do better. I don't need to be a chef to know when a meal is burnt.

Hijack? and "hardcore simmers"? So you're a concerned "hardcore" simmer? 😄🤣 MSFS2024, 90% of its premise is eye candy. I mean it has pebbles. Most of it's add-ons are eye candy. I mean, without its eye candy what would we have? P3D/FSX... turn the eye candy off and see for yourself, assuming of course you fly with it on, what with you being a "hardcore" simmer.

You’re missing the whole point is what you are missing. This isn’t just about AI, but you would know that if you had read the thread properly. 1.) Aggressive Object Pop-in: Photogrammetry, trees, and buildings often load in late or change shape suddenly as you approach. They are not AI Aircraft (obviously). 2.) Screen-Space Calculation: Instead of simple distance, MSFS 2024 calculates LOD based on the ratio between an object's bounding sphere and the screen size. This ensures consistent rendering loads, but can result in faster "popping" of detail on smaller objects. In fact, Blacksquare and others have released taxi way sign addons, and one of THE main selling points was optimisation of the LOD, so that taxi signs don't just pop in to place as you approach them! I quote them 'LOD optimisation makes signs readable much farther away with no popping'.

There you go then, that’s why it isn’t as noticeable to you. I’m 4K here on a 65 inch display. It’s VERY noticeable.
