FSExpo 2026 Keynote - msfsofficial on Twitch

msfsofficial went live on Twitch. Catch up on their Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 VOD now.

Some details on SU6, World Update 22, the FSReborn M600 (out now), City Update 15 (out now), and AAU5 which consists of the Boeing 307, 707, Bell 47J Ranger, Curtiss C-46 Commando and the Ford Trimotor. Coming July-August

The rebuilt 707 looks real good. CIV-A INS, Garmin GNS and UNS-1 options, flight engineer with callouts, a custom EFB app with performance calculators and such, and optional automated INS waypoint importing

SU6 is bringing night lighting to generic airports.

Definitely into the Stratoliner.

Very happy to hear they've rebuilt the 707, but with everything that comes in the sim by default, I remain hopeful, but not optimistic.

It's only default if you own the Aviator edition, it was originally a payware aircraft.

Super happy about the 707! That is one thing I love so much about our community, people and teams come together to make things better! We are so spoiled nowadays in the sim. What a time to be a simmer!

Really surprised at how excited I am for default airports to finally have night lighting.

plenty of airports will never ever have a proper scenery built for them. Now to just make their too tall terminal buildings shorter and default will be just fine!

Would love to see shorter buildings as well! And also would love to see actual hangars at default airports instead of industrial buildings with man-sized doors for hangar entry LOL. But yes the lighting is a great fix!

Listening to Chris from WorkingTitle talk about the rebuilt 707 brought a happy tear to me eye hehe... It's got 3 options for avionics, the CIVA, UNS and GNS530 I guess.

Good summary: https://fselite.net/content/microsoft-new-airplanes-live-at-fsexpo-2026/

SU6 notes

A new down draft visualization will be coming to MSFS allowing pilots to better see when airflow goes downwards e.g. off of mountains.

New tools for helicopter developers allow fine tuning of flight model characteristics for more realistic behavior. This includes assistance tuning, rotor airflow visualization, and ring state visualization.

A new phase lag tool helps developers see the effects of cyclic controls, phase lag, and assymetry of lift.

Pilots will be able to receive visual warnings for varying degrees of turbulence in an effort to help the developers get better feedback on the turbulence simulation model.

Night Lighting is getting a revamp in Sim Update 6. Apron lighting has been automatically added to 2,236 airports covering M,L, XL, and XXL Airports. A variety of different light poles at different intensity options help create more authentic night time environments.

Career Mode will receive significant updates in Sim Update 6. Runway lighting information will be provided to all airports, helping players make more informed mission choices. An improved mission filtering system will help pilots find the mission types they want as more and more aircraft become career-mode compatible.

How come none of the developers have anything ready for release during FSExpo weekend? They always release a trailer showing what is coming soon but I can’t remember any showing a premier trailer video and at the end of the video announcing it’s available today at the end of the video.

Not true for the larger dev teams like PMDG, Orbx, iniBuilds etc. And there are plenty of devs who did not attend this year. I just think the FSExpo is a great opportunity due to all the coverage it gets during that weekend.
