  1. I am a life long supporter of Tottenham Hotspurs. I was born and brought up not very far from their ground. This might not mean much to many people - but it'll give Ray a smile.... Last year we were SO bad that I'd be prepared to give any of 'em a try....
  2. Treat 'em mean, keep 'em keen?
  3. 23.10 BST and those storms have just shaved us here on Lyme Bay. We've been enjoying a tremendous light show over to the east for the last twenty minutes. It's still rumbling away but the winds are getting up again as we come through 'the other side'.
  4. 1) PMDG 737 2) Kodiak 100 3) A2A Comanche
  5. Just coming up to the end of the first half and considering the overwhelming amount of possession they've had, England have been pretty poor so far.
  6. Alas, there are a great many in the general population that have trouble utilising that big communications network that lies between our ears...
  7. We've just had a cloud burst here and it's like the Malaysian jungle right now...
  8. Hmmm...yes, that's an undeniably good point.🫡
  9. Essentially this. They can look 'melted' at altitudes where you'd be reported to the FAA/CAA.
  10. No. He's too busy sounding off about the drunken antics of the England cricket team. Tim Henman isn't playing either...
  11. BlackSquare immunised me to Carenado. Just had a quick Google of Do228 cockpit photos. I think I can predict already some of the complaints soon after release. "Why don't the condition levers work" "Why can't I get nav 2" Etc, etc...
  12. USA team are growing in stature and confidence with each match. They're going to win their group.
  13. England played a great game last night. Croatia are still very stiff competition. Meanwhile, who is going to be brave enough in the Portuguese set up to tell Christiano Ronaldo that their team is better off without him?
  14. Croatian goalie is heroic.
  15. It was a great game. In many ways Senegal is effectively the French B team. A lot of Senegalise players would be eligible to play for France if they chose to and vice-versa.
  16. I'm debating whether to stay up for Argentina v Algeria tonight. It kicks off at 2 a.m. my time but it's always worth watching Argentina play football. Since I'm now a retired slob I just might. I have a feeling Messi and co will carry off the world cup again.
  17. Scratch Spain from that list of favourites and substitute Germany....
  18. They're certainly very strong teams but in my opinion the final will be between two of either Argentina, Belgium, England, France, Japan, Portugal or Spain. The big four favourites are Argentina, England, France and Spain. Other opinions are available!!
  19. No. The intention is to fill it full of millions of USD to make up for the loss in revenue that FIFA has suffered after failing to reach an agreement with EA Sports a couple of years ago. EA make (made) the FIFA football game for pc and consoles and used to pay around $150m to FIFA each year for the rights to use that name. In 2023 FIFA overplayed their hand demanded $300m per year for the next iteration of these games. EA laughed in their face and walked away.... ....but not quite. EA simply made agreements with national football federations, bypassing FIFA and carried on making a slightly rebranded video game. Their sales have hardly been dented whereas FIFA are down $150m a year. It takes an awful lot of cash to keep the FIFA gravy train on the rails so this World Cup is a way to make up for lost revenue; hence the outrageous match ticket prices being charged...amongst other things...
  20. Have so far watched the Mexico game, the Canadian game - which was a complete bore fest - and I watched USA v Paraguay this morning on the iplayer and that was a fantastic match. Despite the nations attention being diverted by a game of Netball in New York earlier in the week I felt both the USA team and their fans in the stadium really rose to the occasion and put in a great performance. How far can the USA team go in the World Cup? All the way until they face either France, Spain or Argentina. Exactly the same can be said for England imo.
