Yeah, you can go overboard with it. The Bergen video is with two passes of NR. One is rather more subtle. I hope Asobo do give us the option to use a native and tuned to MSFS NR application.

Hmmm...not sure. I didn't have reshade installed before I used Optishade. The app installs reshade anyway but I'm not using any of the reshade profiles here. I'm simply applying one or two NR passes....

...and a flight this morning into Bergen with live weather and live traffic. Performance hit is negligible. I'm using 2 x FG. Up to 6 x is available... This is with 2 x NR applied but no other enhancements.

I've been using an app called Optishade to apply DLSS5. It makes it incredibly easy and straight forward to apply. I believe there are now several of the apps around too... Quick demo of the effect of one, two or three passes of NR on my rtx 470 ti super....

The original release of MSFS back in August 2020 did not have the absurd 'all roads are lit' lighting scheme. For some reason, way back in - I think - SU3 they decided that out of town lighting would be a good thing. No idea why?🤷‍♂️ I haven't flown at night since then as I find it sooo jarring. Gonna give this mod a spin tonight.

I know this isn't the reply you might be looking for but if you haven't had experience of ffb before I'd seriously consider picking up a MSFFB mk2 stick on ebay or somewhere like it. Yes, they're going to be almost twenty years old now but they're fairly indestructable and then download this: You'll be saving yourself a heap of cash and the really important thing is the software running the stick. FFB-Bridge is very, very impressive and has rejuvinated my stick.

My crazy hunch is that whatever work they've done on their Max - if any - is unlikely to see the light of day in this present iteration of MSFS. Whilst we've been wallowing in a bucket load of Airbus, at long last the PMDG monopoly on high quality Boeings is being broken and iFly led that charge with their Max. They've cornered the PC market for that airframe. PMDG's big strength is in the investment they've made into console sales. It's an increasingly important part of their income...except a Max won't benefit them nearly as much there since the Asobo Max, despite it's reputation here, is actually an astonishing aircraft for a stock model abd is readily available to console users at an absolutely unbeatable price. So far, all the aircraft PMDG have made for MSFS have sold like hot cakes. The 747's that we are shortly about to receive are going to break all their sales records too. 'The Queen' is going to absorb all their effort for at least the next 18 months, not forgetting continued support for the 737 and 777 as the sim continues to evolve. In these circumstances sales of a PMDG Max are going to be similar to sales of yesterdays Wendy Burger.

No. Re-read my reply to your request and have another try. I asked you several questions that need to be answered in detail. I'm not trying to be awkward and I can't promise any definitive answers to your problems but there will almost certainly be other people on this forum who can but the best thing you can do is provide as much detail as possible.

Hi Flyinmaninmn, you've got two distinct questions there so firstly your plane that stops halfway down the runway; Please describe in detail what your controller set up is. Do you use a joystick? Does it have a built in throttle or do you use a seperate throttle? What make and model is your flight hardware. Do you use the key board for any basic flight control assignnents? Also, what plane are you flying and what airport are you taking off from? As to scenery; firstly, did you buy your copy of MSFS2020 from the Microsoft store or through Steam? Next, what exactly is it that you are trying to install? An airport? Everything you wish to add must go in the Community folder. Have you established where your community folder is? Add on scenery and add on aircraft must be placed in the Community folder within the sim. Not a copy of the community folder but the folder itself as it sits within the sims file structure. One other thing; forget all your past experience with FSX. MSFS2020 is a different beast.

This is very much one of those but having watched most of it, I don't think this plane offers too much to explore anyway. I did enjoy his attempts to make an aircraft not meant to break the sound barrier...try and break the sound barrier.🤷‍♂️
