Here's to hoping this one is more optimized without sacrificing the LOD

Further sacrificing LODs would be challenging given their current state

More resources won't magically fix it. That's not how that works.

Luv the options. Most will be off or medium for me.

100% ... They gotta find their optimization wins somewhere else. I think Image quality has suffered enough.

I am curious. People that are on su3 beta did you see a vram decrease? I am just struggling with that.

I am having an issue: I cannot change the VR versions of these settings, either from VR or from 2D. They are all stuck on Medium and I can't change them. I just accidentally noticed that they even existed in the VR Graphics section of the settings now.

Description: When I try to change one of the new ones from Medium to Low, the word low appears for a fraction of a second and then it goes back to Medium on its own.

Reworked character / fauna / airport graphic settings for more coherence between platforms

This sounds like really BAD news … as in we dial the image quality back for all so XBOX users don’t feel left out?  I guess it depends which way the “coherence” is going … would love to know more about what exactly this means?

Hello SayAgain,

There is no conspiracy about "dumbing down" the sim for Xbox users here. This change was to make certain user-controlled graphics settings consistent between all platforms (PC, Xbox, and VR). In a previous pre-release test build, new graphics options were enabled for PC (non-VR) and Xbox users to adjust the quantity/density of fauna, ground vehicles, static aircraft, etc., but these options weren't available in the VR settings menu. With 1.5.24.0, VR users also have the option to adjust those settings.

Thanks,

Maybe you could tell them what the fix would be so they can implement it since you seem to have more knowledge about how the sim works and share your talent with them to fix all that is wrong with this sim. Obviously you know how all the different components in the sim interact with each other to know what the simple fix is. Share your knowledge.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, if you don’t like it then maybe you should try and bite your tongue for a change, instead of being toxic all the time.

Ahh right, the toxicity lies with the people who are actually enjoying the sim and not those who are bashing the devs in one way or another.

The reality is the sim is working just fine for plenty of people, and those saying it's not a "working product" are only dissuading others from even trying it when there is a good chance it will work just fine for 90% of the people out there if they aren't trying to run unsupported addons.

Yeah, except adjusting them isn't working in VR. The values are all stuck on Medium.

We have already logged this bug internally and escalated it to the dev team.
