I use KLAX and RJTT as my two test airports. On the ground, I get decent FPS, but once I’m over the PG buildings, my CPU spikes almost to the point of freezing my system, and the stutters are nonstop. It doesn’t matter what settings I use. Also, my 9800x3D & 5080 are cooking. And to top it all off, the ground textures are even worse than in MSFS2020. I flew the same scenario in 2020, max settings and I had fluid frames, and both CPU and GPU temps in the normal range. It still blows my mind why they couldn’t just build off the current MSFS2020, because it’s working flawlessly and, quite honestly, the eye candy between both sims isn’t massively different. Are you using Bijan’s Seasons add-on? I had major issues in LA with it installed so I deleted the LA PG file in the Scenery folder and my FPS recovered. It could be a conflict, but I could never determine with what even after extensive testing so the easiest thing for me was just to remove it. Edited August 13, 2025Aug 13 by Gulf76

August 13, 2025Aug 13 I’m travelling and running this on an older system -5600x, 32Gb, 3070 ( non ti). At 1080p it’s running really well and I’m impressed. Settings are high end, FSR enabled. With the Fenix I get ~90 fps in the air, ~45-50 depending on the airport (only default, haven’t downloaded any payware here). It’s very smooth and great fun. Can’t wait to get home and run this on my main machine! 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen
August 13, 2025Aug 13 Commercial Member Most of my problems with 2024 have disappeared simply by setting my texture resolution to LOW or MEDIUM instead of HIGH or ULTRA. I'm on a 3060ti with 8Gb VRAM. I lock the sim at 30fps (half refresh) and have my 160hz monitor turned down to 60hz for this functionality. It is solid as a rock with Fenix BFU and the detailed RW Profile EGNT scenery, and temperatures of my GPU and CPU are around 55C-60C which is much better than they used to be ... knocking on 90C. Especially in this heat 😂 99% of the time I can't notice much difference in the textures to be quite honest, unless of course I'm really focusing on the visuals and getting up-close with the textures, rather than just enjoying an IFR flight. August 13, 2025Aug 13 I've had big issues with the very latest beta despite the previous one being fantastic. Current one: -Getting endless spinning thing again. -Appears to have changed the AI traffic menu. Now I can't fully turn off static airplanes parked at gate fully. Only low is displayed as an option.
