So, has everybody remembered to use DLSS swapper to update their settings after the new update?

Thanks for reminding me-I completely forgot.

Dang, it seems like it must be a truly thankless task working for at Asobo for this Program.

People complain vociferously about Vram, and when it gets addressed... Not a word-o-thanks.

Texture loading problems? Complain like mad with obligatory insults to the programmers. Fixed? Then lets move on to the next complaint. Chop chop!

Not enough granularity in the control options? Xbox dumbing down! WAH!!! Asobo is forgetting us!!! (Asobo adds more granular options) Oh! this looks bad!!!

Clouds looking *place name of complaint here* (Asobo fixes resolution and viewing distance, corrects missing lightning issues, contrails fixed) Users: Hmmmmmphhh! its about time! And no, we are not saying thankyou, you losers!

It goes on and on (and on)

Jeez.

Nah, the devs are well aware that hundreds of thousands of people (millions?) use this program and 2020 as well. Avsim has maybe 10-20 people who gripe and whine incessantly?

At the end of the day, the only thing that determines success is cold hard data, and cold hard cash. If MSFS was truly terrible, it would be long dead. No company runs as a charity. I'm fairly certain (having worked at MS, not in gaming), that the devs are really well paid and are generally happy with their jobs.. if they weren't it would be pretty easy for a dev from Asobo to go work wherever they wanted.

Lots of games get canned if they dont' work. Heck, entire gaming divisions get shut down. The gaming industry is famously cutthroat. So when you have a game that has a core group of devs working on it for almost a decade (they started making it well before 2019).. it's doing just fine.

Forgot it, only remembered after trying to solve the sim crashing during loading for two evenings…

Forget about Asobo.  What about all of us simmers that have to listen to all th constant complaining?

Give us a break why don't you.

Why do you read the posts if they upset you so much.  You don't have to.  Just ignore or skip over them.

Yes we do … gaming/entertainment software is a little different from website and CRUD development.  There tends to be a stronger passion in gaming/entertainment development but burn-out does happen if life balance isn’t managed well by developer and PM.

The funding source seems pretty solid and clearly has established a large user base and recurring revenue from marketplace is very important for continue success (for all hopefully).

I do appear to be getting slightly less FPS in this build. 2-3, sometimes 5. This is at FL370 in the Ifly.

Not sure why my post deserved that kind of response. I don't see anyone else mentioning FPS loss here.

I put my anger aside and tried my best to “test” the current build, and my gosh what a steaming pile of word not allowed. I use KLAX and RJTT as my two test airports. On the ground, I get decent FPS, but once I’m over the PG buildings, my CPU spikes almost to the point of freezing my system, and the stutters are nonstop. It doesn’t matter what settings I use.

Also, my 9800x3D & 5080 are cooking. And to top it all off, the ground textures are even worse than in MSFS2020. I flew the same scenario in 2020, max settings and I had fluid frames, and both CPU and GPU temps in the normal range.

It still blows my mind why they couldn’t just build off the current MSFS2020, because it’s working flawlessly and, quite honestly, the eye candy between both sims isn’t massively different.
