Navigraph and Flightradar24 Partnership
That was my experience when I last used FSLTL injector, I'm not sure if I configured something incorrectly. I also saw aircraft taxiing through airport buildings and heading off into the city...

Navigraph and Flightradar24 Partnership
Yes, but is that the same data FSLTL were using before?
-
Navigraph and Flightradar24 Partnership
Am I right in thinking this will make FSLTL the same as before the plug got pulled, or will the 'official' FR24 data be more detailed and accurate?

VR 2026 Where are we and what do you recommend?
flyingscampi replied to Hamish100's topic in Virtual Reality (VR) for Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)I bought a 5090 last year before hardware prices went haywire. I was going to buy either Quest 3 or Pimax Crystal but I've decided to wait for Valve's Steam Frame.

Asobo Caravan vs BlackSquare vs Kodiak 100 in 2024
Black Square have released v1.2 of their Caravan v1.2 - Engine Damage & More Sound Improvements 2026/05/05 New Features: Added numerous sounds pertaining to engine damage during startup, shutdown, at all power settings, and several turbine specific engine failures, like compressor stall/surging. Added dynamic under-wing registration to default liveries with better feature support for livery painters. Sounds for all exterior interactions, like opening and closing doors, are now audible during walkarounds. Added seamless support for the native water rudder keybinding while still supporting the tablet interface triggered water rudder cable failure. Engine damage will now influence ITT beyond 40% damage. Previously, only crew members consumed oxygen, so as to extend the effective range of the aircraft at altitudes where only crew oxygen was required by regulations. Now, passengers will only consume oxygen when the indicated altitude is above 14,750 feet. Bug Fixes: Rewrote code relating to the ventilation blowers, as unexpected electrical behavior resulted from old code from the Analog Caravan. Fixed visual synchronization problem with the tablet failure interface when failures were triggered from HTML events, in preparation for collaboration with online services. Further refinement of propeller and engine sound leveling inside and outside the aircraft. Turbine propeller blade angle animation was mistakenly driven from simplified code from previous Black Square aircraft, which has now been replaced with improved behavior in all other Black Square aircraft (except the TBM 850, which will also receive this update). The fuel selectors off warning system will no longer activate when the firewall fuel cutoff handle is pulled. The fuel selector off warning horn will also be deactivated when the START CONT circuit breaker is pulled, as the two circuit breakers were previously configured in parallel, not series. Increased empty weight of the Cargomaster to 4,040lbs to reflect inclusion of the Cargopod. Useful load and full fuel payload numbers have been adjusted accordingly. Yoke-mounted electric trim switches will now only function when the autopilot is powered in addition to the electric trim actuator circuit.

Persistent damage to Black Square Bonanza?
Or press the 'clean plugs' button on the tablet 🙂 I just found it interesting that the Comanche engine accurately modelled plug fouling and cleaning.
-
Persistent damage to Black Square Bonanza?
You can clean fouled plugs on the Comanche by running the engine full rich at ~2,200 rpm for 30 - 60 seconds. If still fouled, allow the engine to cool and repeat. I wonder if this works on the Bonanza.

BlackSquare Caravan Professional out
This training outfit use A2A's Comanche to demonstrate techniques in their engine management course Airplane Engine Operations. Everything works like the real engine, how to clean fouled plugs, etc.

BeyondATC: VFR demo (UK) published (YT)
I think those are aircraft with IFR flight plans. I hope its possible to generate some random traffic flying VFR.

MSFS 2024 PMDG 773
That's very educational, thanks!

BeyondATC: VFR demo (UK) published (YT)
I'm not sure if this is a typical simmer thing, but I've spent much of my sim time learning how to fly airliners under IFR, and now I'm working 'backwards' learning how to fly a GA aircraft under VFR. The great scenery and ground detail in 2024 and some excellent aircraft models from A2A and BS have increased the appeal of GA flying enormously, and hopefully BATC will add some convincing ATC to the mix.

MSFS 2024 PMDG 773
Leaving the wobbly PMDG turn issue aside, I saw a comment from a 737 pilot here that in reality it's not unusual with larger intercept angles for the 737 to 'hunt' the localiser, and that you should use LNAV to turn onto final as it can calculate the turn much better. Engage approach mode once you've rolled out. Works a treat in the sim!

A2A Roadmap
I lived in my house for over a year before someone told me I obviously wasn't superstitious. It never occured to me when I bought number 13. I guess A2A didn't think about the date.

BeyondATC: VFR demo (UK) published (YT)
https://youtu.be/wV6GPsMlJo4?t=627 - in this video the AI have been set to use basic voices and the controllers to use premium so you can hear the difference. I always set everything to premium which costs $10 per 250,000 characters. I get the 750,000 pack which lasts me months, but this obviously depends on where and how often you fly.

Tobii Eye > TrackIR
flyingscampi replied to RobJC's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcI think this is what MrBitsFlyer means... with a Tobii on SU4 (no Opentrack), when I look over my left shoulder then move my head to the right (as if to press my head against the window looking aft) the view in the sim moves my head to the left (reversed). Opentrack and TrackIR have an option to correct this.

Tobii Eye > TrackIR
flyingscampi replied to RobJC's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcI bought ChasePlane over the weekend and one of the nicest features is that when you select a pre-defined view, e.g., the overhead panel or EICAS, Tobii is temporarily disabled until you return to the pilot view.

Tobii Eye > TrackIR
flyingscampi replied to RobJC's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcFor Tobii, enable the 'Relative translation' option in Opentrack. Hopefully the sim will include this option in the future.

Things that annoy you about addon airports
I can't resist buying them! I've spent more on airports than aircraft and all the other add-ons put together...
