10 hours ago10 hr Just wondering if anyone else notices these two bugs that are driving me nuts pushing me back to 2020. The first are the green fields having a brown mask applied to them extremely close to the aircraft. This makes VFR flying during the day highly unappealing. And second is with almost every 3rd party airport from 2020 listed as 24 compatible I notice the custom ortho clipping in and out when on approach or departing at various distances from the airport. Did a flight from IAH to AUS last night and both are listed as 2024 compatible yet they have this issue. Is this a known issue because I cant find it mentioned anywhere online being such an obvious visual anomaly. Seems like everyone says "my 2020 airports work fine in 24". Running a 9850x3d 64gb of ram and 5090 with all my 3rd party content downloaded local to my SSD or in my community folder. The issues persist no matter how hard I push the TLOD and graphics settings. This stuff wouldn't be a big deal if it didn't happen in such a close proximity to the user
8 hours ago8 hr I think the "green fields having a brown mask applied to them when close to the aircraft" issue is actually a case of higher resolution textures being loaded at close range. These textures are loaded in as you move, which is why they seem to "mask" the green textures. For example, the really high resolution Bing photoscenery for some of the UK was taken in a very hot summer, when the ground was brown and scorched. The green fields further out are the slightly lower resolution textures taken at a time when the weather was more normal. I really wish that they would sort that out, as brown and burnt fields everywhere in England is not normal. I lasted 5 minutes before I signed out and went back to 2024. Agreed, there are a lot of visual anomalies in 2024 that should get fixed, but there are a whole lot more in past flight sims, including 2020. Maybe MSFS 2028, or perhaps MSFS 2032, will be better...

6 hours ago6 hr I bug reported on the official site (and others confirmed) something strange terrain wise at when flying at/above and around S43 Harvey airport - weird shadows on the terrain, terrain disappearing, all bad things terrain-wise - never saw anything like it before. Only when Photogrammetry is “ON” - but that sounds like it might be different?

Kind of a waste, my only real use for the 24 license is ensuring my sceneries work in that sim...which is a different headache entirely.
