I have always dreamt about of having an all-in-one package, and the Fenix A320 brings it one step closer in that regards. What I mean is that you do not have to leave the sim to do anything. Everything that you need is there and included in the plane. What I'm referring to is the EFB. Gone are the days where you need a separate app running for each and every thing. I used to have to open PFPX for my flight planning, and TOPCAT for my calculations, and so forth. Having to TAB out back to the desktop and back into the sim really kills the immersion for me. The only thing that I wish was part of the EFB or sim, would be a full-fledged and feature packed flight planner like SimBrief that either shows up as an app on the EFB or built into the core of MSFS. I just want a sim that has everything included so that we do not need to rely on 3rd party apps. Thanks to KatiePilot for working on the EFB. You have done such an incredible job. The details are above and beyond what most of us have ever imagined. I really hope you can put the envelope further and add more useful apps on that thing to make the experience even better.

Cool iPad/iPhone apps for X-Plane
captain420 posted a topic in The X-Plane General Discussions Forum
I wanted to start this thread to discuss iPad/iPhone apps made to be used with X-Plane. My favorites so far are: AirTrack // http://www.ipobjects.com/products/airtrack - This app is great, its basically a remote controller to fly your plane, an ND/FMC/EFIS and more. I can be eating dinner while controlling my plane. It's awesome! It can be used as an EFB to store all your maps, charts, etc as well. You can even update and modify your flight plans. X-Mapper Pro // https://itunes.apple.com/app/id490618924?mt=8 - I love this app! It shows me in realtime where my plane is at on a map! Great for VFR flying. No need to constantly go to the file menu and go to map to see where your plane is. This app tracks your plane in realtime! You can use a regular map view, hybrid or satellite. I definetly recommend this app. IGMap HD // http://fswidgets.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=52 - The FSWidgets iGMapHD app turns iPad into a hi-res moving map for your desktop flight simulator! QuickPlan // http://fswidgets.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=63 - Great flight planning app! All done with the touch of your finger. Very intuitive and simplistic interface! -
Hello all, First time actually posting here - I've been lurking for years. I'm having a really hard time searching for my topic, and not coming up with anything - so I decided to take a shot at posting. I hope that this is the correct sub-forum - please inform me if it needs to be moved. I've got several apple / android devices that I setup with FSX - they work great. There are 5 of them that I'm using and each one has its own server that it uses to push the data to the devices. I'd like to use a second PC to run all the servers for those mobile apps and take them off the main pc. I'm not sure how to successfully do this... I've heard of using a second pc to inject weather and other specialized needs, but I can't seem to find anything specific to this. (which this can't be too out of the box of an idea?) I've tried using "WideView" (wideview.it), but that doesn't seem to pass hardly any data. Would a licensed copy of FSUIPC help here? Thank you in advance for your help. Dan

Hi I am Sam High creator of FSXDB.com the fast airport resource for fsx airport information and checklists. I have just released a public API at FSXDB API using the same data as FSXDB.com. What does this mean? Well if you want to integrate the same data you find at FSXDB.com into your VA or flying club site or want to build a mobile app you got the data and ability to filter the airports as you do FSXDB.com Advanced Search Page. You now have the data at your disposal in a REST Service that returns JSON data easily consumed in UI widgets etc like JQUery Mobile, JQuery UI and the best free widgets I highly recommend you learn and use is Kendo UI. I have example grid widget at API site to show how simple it is to use the API.
