March 6, 201313 yr I wanted to start this thread to discuss iPad/iPhone apps made to be used with X-Plane. My favorites so far are: AirTrack // http://www.ipobjects.com/products/airtrack - This app is great, its basically a remote controller to fly your plane, an ND/FMC/EFIS and more. I can be eating dinner while controlling my plane. It's awesome! It can be used as an EFB to store all your maps, charts, etc as well. You can even update and modify your flight plans. X-Mapper Pro // https://itunes.apple.com/app/id490618924?mt=8 - I love this app! It shows me in realtime where my plane is at on a map! Great for VFR flying. No need to constantly go to the file menu and go to map to see where your plane is. This app tracks your plane in realtime! You can use a regular map view, hybrid or satellite. I definetly recommend this app. IGMap HD // http://fswidgets.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=52 - The FSWidgets iGMapHD app turns iPad into a hi-res moving map for your desktop flight simulator! QuickPlan // http://fswidgets.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=63 - Great flight planning app! All done with the touch of your finger. Very intuitive and simplistic interface! ASUS ROG Maximus Hero XII ▪︎ Intel i9-10900K ▪︎ NVIDIA RTX 3090 FE ▪︎ 64GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro ▪︎ Windows 10 Pro (21H1) ▪︎ Samsung 970 EVO Pro 1TB NVME SSD (OS Drive) ▪︎ Samsung 860 EVO 2TB SATA SSD ▪︎ Seagate 4TB SATA HDD ▪︎ Corsair RMx 850W PSU

March 6, 201313 yr I use Airtrack and it's brilliant! Haven't tested the others, good idea starting this thread. If we get this list of apps to grow, it deserves to be a sticky. Richard 7950x3d | 32Gb 6000mHz RAM | 8Tb NVme | RTX 4090 | MSFS | P3D | XP12
March 6, 201313 yr These apps are pretty awesome for iPad and work in both FS and XP... https://www.remoteflight.net/
March 6, 201313 yr deetee, The remoteflight apps look nice, but they all say FS9 and FSX with no mention of XP10. I know you said they work in XP. I am particularly interested in the radio stack app because it is difficult to manage some radios in XP10. If they do work, do they work in the 64bit version or do you know from your own experience? John John Wingold
March 6, 201313 yr Author They do work with X-Plane, it says on the itunes store and their website. Thanks for showing us deetee. I never knew this existed and they look extremely well made. I even saw a review for them on AVSIM's frontpage. Looks great, now all I need is a dedicated FMC app! March 6, 201313 yr Yes it uses XPUIPC which has just gone 64-bit. http://www.tosi-online.de/XPUIPC/XPUIPC.html I've just tested the radio stack with XP10 x64 and that works great.
March 6, 201313 yr Author So we need to download xpuipic in order to make those ipad/iphone apps by remoteflight work with X-Plane 10 64bit? March 7, 201313 yr Another shout-out for X-Mapper Pro. Indispensable and cheap, I mainly use it to directly enter comm, nav, and autopilot values, rather than bother with the in-sim dials and knobs.
March 7, 201313 yr It would be nice if I could load IGMapHD and remoteflight RadioHD and switch as needed during flight. Oh well, I have installed Android onto a Nook Tablet. I might be able to do something that way.. Wonder if both servers will work at the same time....???? John John Wingold

On my iPad Mini I can switch between the Map HD and Radio HD apps using the multitasking gestures and both apps remain active. Hope that helps David
March 8, 201313 yr Thanks David, I have downloaded and configured Radio HD. I have not tried switching, but it works well and even recognized my button command to disengage the autopilot. Those considering should read the readme file carefully before installing. John John Wingold
