The excessive drag from the flaps should be adressed in an update soon.

restart track ir in msfs 2024 in windows 11
In the past I have never been able to connect TrackIR to a running MSFS but in the past few weeks I have been succesfull a few times in doing so. Not every time, so it is still advisable to start TrackIR before MSFS. Never seen TrackIR crashing though, only the simulator.

MSFS Auto FPS App
Hi, I am still a bit confused about what framerates to set when using hybrid dynamic settings. My monitor is set tot 120 fps, I use FG x2 so I have set my FPS cap to 60 and the max framerate in MSFS 24 (beta 4) also to 60. However, I never reach 120 fps, usually its somewhere between 90 and 110, even when the graphics card (4070 Ti super) usage isn’t on its maximum. It rarely gets above 85%. The AutoFPS usually uses Dynset30. Is this an expected behavior or am I doing something wrong? /

Forgot it, only remembered after trying to solve the sim crashing during loading for two evenings…

A2A Aerostar is now available
It’s called the Accu-Sim Aerostar 600, so: yes!

SU3 Beta 1.5.9.0
I don’t mind if a beta has bugs or performance issues, but if I can’t start a free flight, I can’t test anything.

Aircraft Control profiles driving me crazy
I would like to be able to clear all bindings and keep them like that, so I can control everything through SPADNext and FSUIPC. As others have mentioned the sim likes to randomly assign functions to my controllers, so I have to check for unwanted bindings every time I start up the sim (SU3 beta).

MSFS Auto FPS App
I should have added that I’m on MFSF 2024, so DX12. When I lowered the textures from ultra to high, VRAM-usage decreased about 5%, so not really a big difference. Ground textures stay blurry, even with a TLOD of 600! Buildings and trees are very sharp (EDIT: but at a distance of some miles they get funny shapes). Runways are still blurry at a distance of 1 mile and a TLOD of 200.

MSFS Auto FPS App
I’m wondering why I seem to have a much higher VRAM-usage. Yesterday I flew over the Australian outback (it was quite cloudy) and also had about 90%-VRAM usage (of the 16Gb I have). Settings are generally on ‘high’ in 4K.

Reflecting on MSFS 2020 GA developers, a retrospective
The piston Dukes and the Comanche are both exceptional. What gives the Comanche an edge for me is the perfect state saving, the walk around and some extra sounds, mainly from the undercarriage (brakes, taxiing over bumps etc.), which makes the immersion a little better.

MSFS Auto FPS App
I have to say that the VRAM-detection is a game changer for me! I have a RTX 4070 Ti Super-card and while flying over London in my A2A Comanche, VRAM usage is constantly over 95%. So TLOD is constantly being reduced or locked. Without this it would probably be unflyable. Thank you very much!

MSFS2024_AutoFPS for MSFS 2024
I am very happy the original app is still available. I’m used to the interface and the way it works and get the impression that at the moment it is the more stable one. Therefore I intend to keep using this one in the foreseeable future. While I appreciate the work of the other developer, I think he is the one that created the confusion with the similar naming and the use of the same icon. It seems unfair to me to put any blame one Reset XPDR.

Black square King Air MSFS2024
I have flown the piston Duke quite a lot in MSFS 2024 recently. It worked flawlessly, certainly after the latest sim update.

As long as I can take off with the wheelchocks and engine covers in place, I don’t agree with you.

Black Square Duke Released!
I am having difficulties binding the mixture axis to my Homeycomb Bravo throttles. The manual says "Please make sure that your hardware bindings are using the Key Events (...)", I don't know how to do that in FSUIPC. Any advice?

They are two (slightly) different apps from the same developer, both available from hits Discord-page.

After having tried both apps, I have to admit I am confused which one I should choose to use permanently. Can you please give me a little guidance here?

Virtual company addons
I have also been looking for company during my trips and for some destinations to fly to. I have tried them all (FS Passengers, FS Captain, FS Economy and Air Hauler 1and 2). FS Passengers creates a nice athmosphere on board but lacks a good economic model (first you get a number of passengers and then you decide where to take them). FS Captain is a sound program but never really appealed to me, I think because you only communicate via an ACARS-like instrument. FS Economy has a very nice economic model but offers no company at all. You feel very detached from that virtual world. Air Hauler is a great program and sometimes too absorbing for your real life! Version 2 is still under development but looks promising. Right now it is not as user-friendly as it could be, I hope this will improve. It doesn't add anything to the flying itself. Currently I am using FS Passengers and Air Hauler 2 simultaneously. Not very realisic, I admit, but it gives you an economic aspect and the ambience whilst in the cockpit.
