I'm curious to see how the new rudder feels.  I know this was a hot topic back in the day, but I struggled to even control the thing on takeoff with any kind of light crosswind.  I'm stuck waiting for the marketplace update so I can't try it out.

I will give my 02cents.

The plane flies much better with regards to rudder control/handling vs previous versions.

I took off for a rip from word not allowed conditions out of CYSH. Handling was improved on takeoff roll/rotation.

Will sound off to speak to the landing when down.

Landing CYSB...10 knots bang on the nose...landing/taxi was as expected. No event.

I'm pleased with the update.

The problem I remember was specific to takeoff.  You'd hit a certain speed and you'd need a completely different amount of rudder.  It was meant to simulate some system, but it seemed to make it hard to hold the centerline in any takeoff.  A 7 knot crosswind would put me in the grass.  It was not just a trim issue, you needed to be really fast on the pedals and I couldn't do it.

I refuse to spend another 15 minutes of my life clicking on stupid verification picture after verification picture after verification picture just to log in and download the update. I went through 6 stupid sets twice only to be rejected each time. WAAAAAAYYYYY to many click click click drag drag drag just to log in. As a customer I find this to be VERY frustrating and honestly, insulting. Not gonna do it again.

That's another reason the MP rocks!  Your one stop (secure) flight sim source.

Yep. Approach & landing was fairly ridiculous as well. Basically, "slow flight".

I put it away awhile ago and take it back out every once in awhile, esp if there's an FM update like this one.

This update is very interesting to me.

Firstly, I love the PC12 IRL and the SWS version has great sounds, textures and systems.   But on launch it was absolutely awful to fly because of the slow speed mess mentioned about.   It would float towards the runway, almost sideways - even with no crosswind!  😄

Anyway, I was away from the hobby for 18 months, until about 6 weeks ago.  When I reinstalled and flew the latest version of the SWS PC12, I thought it flew great!   I've been flying it every couple of days since then.

SWS have badly messed the FDE up a few times with this plane, so I am going to be very careful about this update.    I will download and try it, but as my purchase is from their website (as opposed to the MP), I am able to hold on to my current version of the PC12, and if the new one is funky again, at least I'll still have the current version to revert to.

I had the same experience so in the end decided to reset my password. After that no more problems.

Glad to hear it's improved. The launch wasn't the best.... still, one of my favorite planes. It sounds like they've stepped it up a notch.

It doesn't look like this update made it to the marketplace yet unfortunately.  At least the version didn't update (I know that's a downside of the marketplace).

Did one circuit….first flight in a year because i was so dismayed witht the risicukous fkight model. Howver this was much improved, behaviour much more realistic and preditable and stable. Much better. Although as a side note since its been so long since flew it i can say some of the cockpit texturing is looking kind of dated now.
