I created this topic for the new MSFS2024_AutoFPS program. This program modifies your TLOD, OLOD, clouds, etc. to help maintain FPS in MSFS 2024.

Interesting.  I'm getting serious stutters on the ground despite MSFS2020 working well, and with the dynamic ticked and unticked in the sim.  I may give it a try.  

Is there any chance you could do the mod that changes just the LODs depending on altitude?  I think it was from the same original author, Dynamic LOD I think it was called. 

Same if the Dynamic LOD application can be updated, that would be great !

Window seems to be visible only when you unselect Nvidia DLSS Frame generation. I hope this will be fixed in next update.

I’ve got it working but doesn’t seem to recognise frame generation, so had to halve my FPS target to make it work.

For those suffering from blurry textures, turn off dynamic, set TLOD to 600 in this app and see how great this sim can look.. 

managed to get it work but something is 'unstable'. Most often the app doesn't start and yes, I tried task manager 'expand' etc. I need to reinstall every time I want to use the app?

But I managed one flight with this app but had stutters on the runway where without the app, it was smooth. Needs further testing but looks promising!!

After today's update, I'm getting CTD with any aircraft I load cold and dark at the gate or parking during the start up process with autoFPS open. And even if I only open autoFPS when I finish turning on the aircraft and configuring everything, I still get CTD.

Interestingly, I don't get CTD if I load an aircraft that's already turned on on the runway.

Empty your community folder and try again. if it loads you have an issue with one of the addons that were in it. I have flown 2 short flights since the small update and saw no problem.

Try to use the VR optimized mode, this is what you are asking for, just additionally lowers tlod if your fps drops.

No luck here. CTD even with the community folder empty.

I did three flights with autoFPS before the update and had no problems. After the update, CTD.

ok, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it is working now much more stable, in particular opening it as admin. First results are excellent, does exactly what it says - frames are excellent now and while climbing to altitude, the increase in TLOD works perfectly and in a non-agressive fashion. Definitely much better than the 'dynamic setting' inside MSFS!!

I tried to open autoFPS only when I was in the air and I didn't get CTD right away. For a moment I thought I had found a workaround. AutoFPS worked without any problems during the flight, until the aircraft reached the top of the descent. The moment I selected the knob on the autopilot to start the descent, the simulator froze and then CTD.

3 flights completed without a single problem. Then Asobo decided to mess everything up for me and now I'm getting CTD with it.

Oddly, the app is opening, but seems to be opening off screen and I'm not able to see it.
