If TIR CTDs whilst in MSFS 2024, in Windows 10 there was a way to get FS to see TIR again, it was something like mouse emulation or such...know what I mean?  Now I have W11.  Google searches negative.  Thanks!

Not quite sure why you'd get a CTD from TRackIR - I've never seen that in 21 years of using it.

What I can say is that if you get a CTD in MSFS, you need to remember to close TrackIR and restart it, before relaunching MSFS - otherwise it stops working the moment you load into MSFS.

mouse emulation works great in 2024, used it today. Sometimes TIR just won't recover.  

In the past I have never been able to connect TrackIR to a running MSFS but in the past few weeks I have been succesfull a few times in doing so. Not every time, so it is still advisable to start TrackIR before MSFS. Never seen TrackIR crashing though, only the simulator.

I would like to see the approach taken in DCS where you have a rescan devices option under controls. This activates (or re-activates) a device when disconnected. Works fine with TrackIR in DCS.
If they can make it work in there, it should be possible to add it to MSFS too.

That's my experience too.

I now use Tobii but on my old TrackIR 4 it would randomly loose connection with the sim.  Was more prone to this if I paused TrackIR a few times.  A sim restart was the only way to relink them, plus perhaps TIR app restart.  Running the TIR Mouse exe (sorry forget the name) usually restore head tracking without retarting the sim, its in the same folder as the main exe
