April 14, 201412 yr Hi all What is the correct method of installing an updated nVidia driver. I want to update from v331 to 335. When nvidia installs there are a number of features that get installed simulataniously. Do I have to uninstall all of them, clean the registry and remove any residual nVidia folders before doing an upgrade? Thanks eric
April 14, 201412 yr The easiest, and Nvidia recommended, way of doing it is to run the new installer. The new installer will delete the old drivers, reset the GPU, then proceed with the installation of the new driver set. If you want to, choose custom installation and you can not install the 3D Vision or HMDI Audio drivers if they aren't needed, and also choose "clean installation" which clears any presets you might have set in the Control Panel. Things are much easier these days, no need to run driver cleaners.
