Just bought a laptop for college. It's an HP Envy 15, more specifically the 15t-j100. Gaming was not a priority really, but something I'd like to do if it's capable.

 

Here are my specs

4th Gen Intel Core i7-4700MQ quad core (don't know much about computers, but Intel says it's 2.4ghz with turbo boost up to 3.4)

8gb DDR3 RAM

nvidia geforce 840m 2gb

1 TB HDD

 

Don't know if I'm posting this in the right place, but thanks in advance for any help.

Should run FSX fine.  Search around the forum as there is lots of information on Installing and running FSX under Win 8.1 (I presume that's what yhour running).
