Multiple Traffic bgl's and the settings menu

Featured Replies

Hi,I have several traffic bgl's for ai traffic , including PIA, GA and a couple of classic AI packages, and I no longer use the default fs9 traffic bgl. Does the AI traffic percentage slider work across multiple traffic bgl's or does it just work for the default Microsoft traffic file? Thanks,Steve

It does work across all of them, BUT, it depends on how the AI flightplans have been made. Many addon flightplans will either just have all the %'s at 0% so in that case the slider will not work, or some flightplans have ALL flights set at 50%, so if you set it lower than 50% you will see NONE.Its actually a little annoyance of mine, but thankfully there is a small utility that will "smoothen" out a flightplan text file, and give it even %'s.Best thing to do is decompile your flightplans and have a look at the %'s.Dan.

Jim's right, but the question becomes at what percentage does each flight plan become inactivated. For example, GA-Traffic generates all it's flights with a threshold of 20% (or somewhere near there). Set the slider to 19% and you get no GA-Traffic AI flights, set it to 20%, and you get all of them. Markus did this because you can use the GA-traffic program to generate a specific number of flights to control CPU load, then use the slider to tune your other AI flights. The effectiveness of the slider will come down to what each flight within each traffic bgl is set to.Best,sg
