April 17, 201412 yr Is there any tweak that may reduce the sharpness of braking in FSX (using yoke button)? The default brakes don't seem very realistic - particularly when taxiing. Thanks.
April 17, 201412 yr Administrators In your aircraft.cfg there is a setting for your brakes. [brakes]parking_brake = 1 //Parking brake availabletoe_brakes_scale =0.885 //Brake scalar This is what to adjust either a smaller number or largerauto_brakes = 4hydraulic_system_scalar = 1 //On brakes dependant on the hydraulic system, ratio hyd system to max brake hyd pressure Charlie AronAVSIM Board of Directors-ADMIN/Moderator-RegistrarJust going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. April 17, 201412 yr Hi charliearon, Does changing the toe_brakes_scale =0.885 also after breaking by a yoke button if you don"t have toe brakes? Gerry
April 17, 201412 yr Administrators Just to be sure we are in the same cockpit, so to speak! You have a button on your Yoke Assy. that you programmed for Brakes? My trigger on my Joystick is programmed for brakes. When I squeeze the trigger it applies my toe brakes just like if I had rudder pedals. That setting in the aircraft.cfg is for giving more or less stopping power for your brakes. It's just referred to as toe_ brakes. April 17, 201412 yr Thanks for your quick response! I thought if one had rudder pedals one could adjust the pressure applied to the breaks. I don't have rudder pedals but you answered my question. I will check out the aircraft.cfg file of my plane in question. Regards, Gerry

Regards, Gerry If you have rudder pedals that also feature toe brakes then you are assigning and AXIS to the brakes in addition to the rudder AXIS.. That's handled completely different by the sim than assigning a BUTTON to the brakes. Steve Steve Corzine
