Re-Installing And Tweaking Windows 7

Featured Replies

Ok i'm close to re-installing windows 7 and tweaking it following tweakhound to solve my CTD fsx and have a more stable playform and then install fsx!

Has anyone done this and is it successful?

Sounds like you need to ditch FSX and go with the alternatives we have now.  If your tweaking W7 something is truly wrong.  80P  I won't tell you which one to go with but rumor has it with both X-Plane and P3D v2 all you have to do is make sure you have a DX11 video card, install, and go flying (you may need to adjust a few in sim sliders depending on your hardware but no hacking hardware, the sim, or the OS)...  Just say'in, the days of this kind of crap is done unless you want and/or enjoy the hassle...

FS2020

Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR

How do you expllain me having 3 CTD with P3dV2 in five flights compared to no CTD with FSX in a year? Uh? Please advise. Moral of the story. Switching sims isnt the correct answer.

No matter what the others say I can guarantee you you won't have the issues your experiencing with FSX with P3D v2.2.  Just install and go.  Give it a try unless you really like Advil.  I will say at some point with enough effort you will get FSX up and running acceptably but that time could be better spent flying.
