February 12, 200521 yr I am trying to decide on the Iron Knuckles DC-9 or the Lago MD 80. I know originally the IK DC-9 was for FS2002 and has been patched but I am wondering how it has faired in FS9. I also have followed some posts on the MD-80 and I understand there was an update since it came out and I am wondering if it is better or not. I just wondered if someone with both or either could give me a recomendation.Thank you Andrew
February 12, 200521 yr Hello,I've got both the Iron Knuckles and the Lago MD-80. The first I would not recommend, but rather I've been enjoying a very nice panel made by a real-world DC-9 captain, which can found here:http://www.hilmerby.com/Merged with a SGA DC-9 and you have a very nice combo!Regarding the MD-80 I'm happy with my purchase after the recent patches and the now available (English) manual. I've made several nice and trouble-free flights altough the FMS is still somewhat errornous. There are some OK freeware alternatives (without FMS) and there's also another pay-ware alternative available (which I don't own): http://www.mdsuper80.com/Hope this helps.Regards,Michael
February 12, 200521 yr Thanks Michael, I seem to be leaning towards the MD 80 as I am aware of the DC 9 panel and it really comes highly recomended by most. Andrew
February 12, 200521 yr Why don't you get both? I forgot to mention that the Hilmerby is freeware, so it'll only cost you the d/l time, and rather than wasting your money on the Iron Knuckles, you can go buy either MD-80 (from Lago or MD Max).Michael
February 12, 200521 yr Don't have the Lago offering. Might get it though in a few months when I've budget again after spending
