April 27, 201412 yr When I fly and close out the program, I always get the message about it having problems closing so I click ok to close the program to clear the message. When I go to reopen the program it just sit there on the first screen. When I go into the task manager, it states FSX is not responding ... the only way I can get it to open again is to reboot the system. Any idea what is happening and how to correct the situation? Thanks for reading my post. FSX/XP11 Rig:Intel i7 4770k @3.5Ghz_ECS_H87H3-WM_16Gb DDR3 1600_Win7 64_GTX 1050Ti 4GB GPU XP10 Rig:AMD Ryzen 7 1700_MSI_B350 Gaming_16Gb DDR4 2133_Win7 64_GTX 550 1GB GPU

April 27, 201412 yr Possibly a dll doesn't get unloaded properly after closing FSX. It happened to me too some time ago (due to the LVLD.dll). I closed FSX, it remained in the task manager for 10-15 minutes (with a memory usage of 20-30k) and during this time, it couldn't be started again. Even forcing to close the FSX.exe in the task manager didn't work, only rebooting the system.
April 27, 201412 yr Any idea what is happening and how to correct the situation? You need to download and run AppCrashView as requested in the AVSIM CTD Guide located to the right of this forum under Hot Spots. The guide also provides you with guidance on reviewing your Event Viewer to see if there were any events generated when the shutdown occurred. There are a lot of possibilities with the description you provided. Best regards, Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource!
